By the way, I read this story quite some time ago, but I forgot to comment on it, so I re-read it.  It's hard to believe that there could be someone that could teach ME anything about bondage, but it appears you could.  Though it must have been a traumatic experience, it was a very erotic read.  

I just wish there were pictures of some of this equipment you used.  Your descriptions were adequate, but perhaps from a lack of imagination on my part I can't quite picture the harness or exactly what position you ended up in.  I can't imagine how you survived the bondage helmet, having endured the same panic (really just a foot-long, spongy knee brace with a single whole through which my nose and some tubes went - wrapped around your head it is VERY confining and scary).  Yikes, that must have been something!

Anyway, great story!  Give us more like it!

People can be too focused on details.  Let it go.  Most of us would rather enjoy the story.

The same thing happened to me when I suggested that a pair of ballet shoes could lace all the way up the calves (see the comments on my Degradation of Chris story).  Oddly enough, the very next day Lara Flynn Boyle wore a similar shoe to the Oscars, proving the shoes do exist (picture at my website: http://www.geocities.com/amilamida).

When people get hung up on a detail that they just can't picture, it is usually from a lack of imagination on their part.  They end up denying themselves true enjoyment of the story because that one detail nags at them the whole time.  It is an excercise in futility and only harms the reader.

Keep up the great writing - and keep it hard-core!

Re Leslie's comments on my age, hair, and time in service -- lwas engaged in extremely unconventional duties for my entire tiame in the service -- much of which involved working with members of the counter culture in this country, and other times abroad. My long hair was part of my "equipment" for my operations.  My duties in Vietnam were along the same lines...
Re serviace time --- it stands...i had a total of 12 years in the service, started college at 15 and in NROTC under special legislation at that age -- 19 when graduated and heigh-ho, off to the wars (who really believes our combat in Vietnam started with the Tonkin incident??)
As i said, the story is true, and is s good illustration of the old Indonesian adage..."Beware of calling on strange gods...they may be moved to answer..." and our version "Be careful of what you ask for...you may get it"  and in this case, I DID!!!

Besides, the combined eight years in pre-service PLUS eight years in Vietnam don't add up, if the narrator was only 27 at the time the story took place (assuming mid-70s). Also, if he'd only been out a few months, how did he manage to have natural hair growing halfway down his back? The service was a little picky about guys who wore their hair any longer than a crewcut.
