Something that happens often I'm sure of. Something that even I've contemplated at times.

The story was very complete for it's very short subject matter. I still enjoyed it and I'm sure that anyone who wishes to read something within a couple of minutes will totally enjoy it.

But, I'd love for you to lenghten these stories so that we can savor them more and gain a much needed insight into more of the train of thought that the characters have.

Life flows from the heart
Our true self lives in our heart
We alone know it

That was an amazing, brilliant short story BT. Touching, deep, straight to the heart. I care, don't ever forget that. No matter how low you get I'll always be there for you if I can be. But always follow your heart, you are who you are and nothing can change that. *hugs* Katie

WOW, who said a short story can't have impact? Who ever it was hadn't read this tale from a talented writer. What can I say? It grabbed me from the first line and took me on a ride through the woman's history.

I felt her pain

I cried her tears

I was there at the end.

I cared.

Thankyou so much Joanne for showing me how a short story should be written

Love Genni

I couldn't get over the imagery you painted in this story.  The desparation and the deep sadness of not being yourself was presented very well here.  The story clearly came straight from your heart, Joanne.  By all means, if you are in such pain, please follow your heart.  Take it from someone who has been there, you will be far more happier than wanting to put a bullet in your head.

Big Tits,
I'll tell you who would care if you were lying there bleeding on the floor? Me that's who. I love ya babes, and would be devastated if you were no longer with us. Please, never think things are too bad to do that to yourself. There are always people here that will listen to you, support you and love you. great story though-I admire the way you tell it like it is.

True words from a wonderful soul

I care, Joanne, and all your friends here care. I was reminded on my youth and it let me shiver in fear to think back. The most of us where very close to the point you wrote about, thanks the Godness that only some didn't return.

Please write more Joanne, I will wait for it :)

Great story! You have touched many of us deeper than we would like to admit.
There, but for the grace of the Goddess, many of us would be, and the last question on our minds might be if anyone really cared about us!

There but for the grace of God...  You touched a place we all have been.  Please write more you are a new light in our world.

I agree with the others: short, dark, heavy...but excellent.

This is a hard-hitting tale that pulls no punches. If it doesn't make you feel anything, then you're less alive than the girl being written about. Thanks for writing.

Short, dark and heavy. The essance of real life distilled.
Sadly many have been to the edge but not all returned.
Feels like it was written from the heart.

Hey little sis,
great little story, quite heavy, a place a lot of us have been, some quite close, others through and stayed. But for those that haven't, this is a good description of what it can be like.
Well done Joey :)

Short and a heavy story
blood on the carpet
very different
I am sure it's happened
god knows why we are this way.

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated.   Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated.  I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory.  Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.  There is no limit on how much you can enter in the 'comments' box.   Sentences will automatically word wrap at the end of the line so please do not use your carriage return/enter key except at the end of your paragraphs.
