Such a wonderful story. I do wonder why there was no mention of Denise's private areas. Just reading this and I have PC so imagine being in his/her state there must have been orgazams galore. That being said, I loved this version and again wonder what the missed out parts would have been. Maybe and add on  - appendix with the left out parts? !! well done.

Great rewrite of what I consider a horror story.  Kipling said it best:  "The female  of the species is more deadly than the male."  While it's true that Dennis was a brat and needed to be taken down a peg, the women went far beyond the punishment fitting the crime.  There really are no likable characters in this story.

Thank you all for your kind comments. I love the idea of a continuation of the story too, but remember that I didn't write quite a lot of this, I just added to it. I'll think about a continuation, and the ideas about Denise as his wife's wife and mother of his children appeals, but don't expect it soon. Thanks again, Helen

I have been captivated by the "Miss High Heels" story ever since reading it sixteen years ago, and have read several versions since then. Helen Highwater's adaptation is the best.
I have always loved the detailed descriptions of Denis(e)'s lovely dresses, stockings and high heels. And the delicious punishments are so like my own fantasies! Oh, to be a beautifully-dressed rich girl, at the mercy of a stern old spinster like Miss Priscilla!
Some additional episodes I would have liked would be for Denis(e) to be kidnapped by ruffians while in one of his/her lovely ball-gowns, or to be forcibly taken by Guy Repton.

Impeccably done:  a delight to read from start to finish.  I congratulate the author and hope that she'll grace us with more of her work - whether she's revising classics like this one or undertaking an original tale I'm sure the results will be as captivating as Miss Helen!

It doesn't get much better than this. Imaginative, thoughtful, seductive- and I can't imagine the amount of effort that went into writing it.
Personally, I think your effort commands far more gratitude than what's offered up here. And the meager number who have read it though? I hope that's not a commentary of any kind.
But please!  Don't let that deter you. You succeeded in capturing my imagination.
Great bit of writing. Congradulations.

The original story was one of the first forms of TG fiction I ever read. Then there was the re-print on Empathy Press of the same story a couple of years later.  There was always something about the original that always fascinated me. I have reread it hundreds of times.

When I saw this rewrite appear here I wondered and at the same time was worried what you were up to. I didn't want the original, a classic, ruined by a hack job. I am very pleased to see my fears were for naught. I now have two classic tails to read.

I love what you have done and where you took the story. Hindsight is always 20-20. If it was me writing it I think I would have had Guy Ripton taunt him a little more near the end. It was Dennis that did get both of the them in trouble at the beginning. Maybe bring back the original characters who were present when Dennis was told he was going away to girls school and have them critque what had transipred. The letter in the opening section where the young girl tells what he looks like, is one of my favorite parts. It would have been interesting to hear these other people give their opinions of how he looked now. Of course you added the part of him nursing babies. My final epilog would have had him nursing his own son, expect when his son is brought to him one day, Helen has dressed the son as a girl <snicker> and Dennis's reaction to that. Another heir who might not make it into politics, because he ends up in skirts.

Keep in mind that is just me and those ideas would never have come into my head if I hadn't read your fine text. Like I said at the top. I now have two classics to enjoy of the same story and have to yell out loud Bravo and thank you for sharing this with everyone.

I did not think it was possible that this classic piece of TV erotica could be improved upon.  And yet, it seems that has been done.  I eagerly look forward to more.

Helen

Really enjoyed this episode in what i'm hoping to be an engaging serial. I thought the gentleness of it all was superb, with some finely crafted desriptions and narative.

I wait expectntly for the next episode of a classic!
