This is exactly as it should be.  A totally loving, understanding, accepting, compassionate mother who adores her child, whether the child wants to be a boy covering his legs with britches, or a girl exposing her legs with skirts and dresses.  "Tim" when he wants to be, "Diane" when she wants to be. Mom so loves her handsome, rugged, gutsy, manly son, and her pretty, dainty, sweet, dear, precious daughter - the same person.  What a chance to display the characteristics and qualities of both genders.

And no sex in the story!

Oh how I wish all parents could be like this, their children need to find balance, parents that they can trust and loved ones to accept them with unconditional love.  We all have things in life that seem strange to others but they have immense value to us, we depend on parents to see that and help us make the best of our inner values.

Janet, you have a gift to bring this message through without preaching it.

This was another good story but I felt you could have extended the story.

Great story Janet! Tim shows his mom the girl he as with in. Diane is able to release Tim's need to be a girl as Tim matures  and Mom helps both become what they need to be. I hope all trans gendered girls and guys have such an understanding mom.

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated.   Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated.  I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory.  Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.  There is no limit on how much you can enter in the 'comments' box.   Sentences will automatically word wrap at the end of the line so please do not use your carriage return/enter key except at the end of your paragraphs.
