I liked the story a lot, except that Chameleon seemed too all-powerful.  There was a comic book called "Normalman" that was a takeoff of superhero comics.  It had a Superman-type character who had "the ability to develop a new superpower in response to every plot twist".  Chameleon seemed that way to me.

"The End for now?"  God!  I hope not!  You wrote a nice story that leaves us wanting more.  C'mon, one little more chapter?  Please?  Pretty please?  You simply must describe at least one love scene between Laura and Cally!

Triss writes with a rare passion, weaving an action-packed tale of a victim who refuses to be victimized.  We need more stories like this.
Excellent work, Triss.  I look forward to more adventures of Chameleon.

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated.   Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated.  I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory.  Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.  There is no limit on how much you can enter in the 'comments' box.   Sentences will automatically word wrap at the end of the line so please do not use your carriage return/enter key except at the end of your paragraphs.
