Quite an unusual story, but very good. Many of the stories I have read and which are very good have me wondering how the writer could forget such things like voice and an Adam's apple. The negative comments like $5000 for the operation could have been forgotten as the authors should have realised that your tale was just a story. Another good story, well done.

The story itself was neat and fun - it wasn't very clear at the end though whether John was Gay or TG. I also would question some of the ignorance Ashley had regarding feminine behaviour - but these points have already been made.

Loved your story. It has the feel of a real life incident and not something made up. Ashley sounds very much like a typical TG person and I am glad for her that she found a true friend in her roommate.
I just have one question, where can I find a place that does "the operation" for $5,000? I would be there in a flash! TA for now, J-Lynn

I loved it!  A happy ending for all, even John.  I liked that you didn't make Ashley a gorgeous petite little thing like in so many stories.  I thought you described a realistic self-taught transexual.  

On the listening thing:  Guys listen, but they  are using the information to come up with possible solutions; then they interrupt with those solutions. They are trying to be helpful, but don't understand that the girl just wants a sympathetic ear at that time.

I found this a neatly thought out plot - good twist at end.  The points about cost of operation and inexperience with makeup and not wearing dresses and skirts made already are valid, but IMHO the point about boys not listening is no empty steriotype, it is just the truth about boys - that IS how they are !!

She has been on hormones for five years and she doesn't know how to do her makeup properly and she doesn't wear any skirts?  Also I didn't like how you assigned all these "male" characteristics on to her like not "listening".  I think it was very sterotypical and just because she wasn't born non-trans doesn't mean these things are true.  I have a few other complaints to.  Also 5000 for the operation? Wow cheap.

I like it up to the demand for $5,000 but other than that it was good tale.
