Really liked the plot, wish it was longer and more developed and curious as to how her prom turned out.

Comment by Janice on 10/01/07
Love the story as much as there is. Some of the time lines don't jib, but that is minor fixing. Would love to read how Kelly turns out at the prom and after. Please finish the story. LOL, J-Lynn

Val - This story stands on its own.  The "II" on the title is just there so that the story wouldn't have the same title as one by another author; presumably identical titles foul up the search system (or did, when this one was first submitted in 2001).

Samantha - Looking forward to the rest, but IMO you need to do something about Dave's parents; sending them away on a two-week cruise was OK for the setup, but at the start of part five you say this con job has now been going on for months.

I've not read this yet, though it looks well-written, as I like to read part-stories in order. Does "The Dancer 1" exist?

Thanks

Please continue your story! I think that it is very good, but for some reason you have chosen to stop writing it. I am hooked!

Comment by Kirstin on 06/20/01
Rather cute story and a nice effort.  For what it's worth, here are some constructive criticisms.  I found the dialogue to be a little difficult to read...it would help to start with a new line each time there is a change in the speaker instead of using the same paragraph.  Pay attention to the details...Julie and her mother live in an apartment (end of Part 2) but apparently Julie's bedroom is upstairs and it's large enough to dance in.  Also...reading this story was a bit like watching a movie in "fast forward".  Take your time and develop the story instead of rushing from one scene to the next. Hopefully, these criticisms won't discourage you from continuing with this story and writing others.

I can identify with Kelly at the end of part II.  Miss Jezzi Belle - that's me in showgirl mode - always ends her show with, "And remember:  All the world REALLY is a stage, darlings, so strutt your stuff, have fun, and give the public a good show!"  You go, girl; Keep writing!

But I like it and will be waiting for more and more of your storys in the future.  I think is is a very good start. And all I can say is, More, More.

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated.   Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated.  I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory.  Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.  There is no limit on how much you can enter in the 'comments' box.   Sentences will automatically word wrap at the end of the line so please do not use your carriage return/enter key except at the end of your paragraphs.
