Never gamble more than you can afford to loose...words to live by and a good story to show what can become of it.  Janet, you are quite the writer.

Diane Sutton is correct, Too short!!! Other than that, I loved it. The way Diane's grandparents come to his aid is sweet. But why Grandma started Diane on the pill is a mystery. Now Diane is a woman, she needs her story as a woman told

Too short, Janet, you leave us always wanting more. How you cram, so much into such a short story is amazing to me. The more stories I read of yours the more I seem to want, it's like an addiction. I do like longer stories, especially by you. I can understand how a mother would feel about finding her son in such a predictament. And you have that uncanny ability to put into words those thoughts. You released through your story the feelings that surely, a real mother would have. I did find something that I should have questioned, but due to prior comments I won't touch on it. Still, I loved your story and eagerly look forward to many other tales from you. I think anyone who gets the opportunity to read these comment before the story should give your story a try.

A story of a mis-adventure with a typical Janet ending. A minor gambling, loosing and the way the bookie has him pay up. But other things intrude.

Janet I have read your storys for along time and love your work. I do wish you had fleshed Kevin out more in this story. BUT I STILL LOVE YOUR WORK. Thankyou.

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated.   Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated.  I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory.  Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.  There is no limit on how much you can enter in the 'comments' box.   Sentences will automatically word wrap at the end of the line so please do not use your carriage return/enter key except at the end of your paragraphs.
