why hasn't this been scripted as a screenplay. It would be a wonderful film.  And thank you so much for sharing your creation with us. *.*

As good as I remembered.  One of the best I've seen in this genre.

I somehow don't think that the Germans were quite as casual about escaped POWs as portrayed in this story. A sweet and sentimental tale (definitely not an action and suspense thriller), but I found suspension of disbelief to be impossible. Even the main character thought "her" escape was too easy! :)

Defently worth reading the action and chacters are a cut above
the norm ....a seqel would be nice ... thank you for sharing ...

Peace  Rone..

First - I want to state for the record that I am an unabashedly avid Julie O fan.  She spans the sub-genres from CDTV to SF to Magic with an ease few other authors attempt, let alone approach.  Most of our best authors tend to concentrate in one or two sub-genres.  Julie spans them all, and does them all well.

That said, I really enjoyed this story.  Julie gives us the details, the human interaction and dialog and the action, all in one smoothly integrated story.  It's just wonderful the way the the Andy/Andrea/Gretchen character blossoms through the telling of the story.

My one complaint is the ending.  I know what Julie was trying to do - reach the critical cusp of the tale, and move on.  To me, however, it felt like a cliff fall instead of a denouma (sp) following the climax.  I think this is because I was reading it as an 'action yarn', and Julie was telling a character story with the action as a backdrop.  Suddenly, the action 'stopped' when it was clear there was an entire war yet to go.

But as I said, that was because I probably wasn't reading the story through the lens Julie intended.

Regardless, another marvelous story by Julie O.  Easily the Best New Author of 2003!

I've read Julie's material ever since her first story was pubbed on Fictionmania, and she's gotten better with every story she's written. As far as I'm concerned, she's right up there with the best this genre has to offer!

This story's grreat for me in that I've always liked stories revolving WW II, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Allies actually had agents disguised as women all over Europe.

Once again Julie's hit the bullseye, and I can't wait until her next story's out!

(You know where to send that $1.95, right, sis?? <giggles>)

Wow, what a great read!  Your attention to detail was amazing, and I hated to reach the last page.  I can only hope that "Gretchen" will reappear in future episodes.  WELL DONE!

Whenever I see a story from you I consider it a priority read and I am yet to be disappointed.

I am wondering how you can integrate this story with all your others.

Another masterpiece.  I really don't know how you do it, but you continue to churn out hit after hit.  Your attention to detail is, as always tip top.  Thanks again for another enjoyable read.

UTTERLY FANTASTIC!  This is more a full length novel, than anything I've read here before.  I was concerned the details may be lacking or muddied, but the research has been excellent. Great writing, thank you.
