I thought this story was absolutely first rate. There was never a dull moment and the style fitted the persona of the narrator so well. He is presented as a somewhat pedantic, rather old-fashioned figure, but he is sympathetic as well and his obsession with foundation garments never becomes comic or even absurd. My attention was held from beginning to end. Moreover, the description of the corset shops and the behaviour of the corsetieres so chimed in with some of my own experiences that I was often smiling inwardly.

This is very well-written, and the narrative technique is clever and entertaining. The "corset-only" story is unusual and brilliantly handled. Well done. Thanks for sharing your obsession with the world.

I enjoyed the inquisitive and self-realizations of emotion in your story.  I agree that most stories have a fantasy view of the first attempt being nearly self-distructive or perfect depending on the requirements of the story being told.

Looking forward to further adventures.

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated.   Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated.  I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory.  Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.  There is no limit on how much you can enter in the 'comments' box.   Sentences will automatically word wrap at the end of the line so please do not use your carriage return/enter key except at the end of your paragraphs.
