  I have to agree that this is not your best work.  It is too much contrived.  The husband always has to buckle under the threat of blackmail.  Everyone knows you never do that.  The best course is to call the bluff thereby removing the threat entirely.  If he agreed to go along and then told his wife - all they had to do was go over to Audrey's home and see the security camera on the wall.  And even if removed- there would be so much other evidence.  He could have grabbed the CD to show his wife saying- "why was it on when I came over.  It was a set-up to make me look bad given her intense dislike for me"   Lie detector tests could be taken to see who was telling the truth.  There is no way that such a scenario could be realistically carried out.  Sorry honey.

Just re-read this.  I don't see the point of what Abbey did.  What has really changed as far as what Abbey perceives her problem with the couple to be?   Alice loves Audrey as much as she loved Ted, so Abbey is still the third wheel.

Nice story, but I would have liked to see Audrey and Alice tell Abbey "Thanks for all your help, but now you can go to hell" at the end.
