Lovely story the AUTHOR can be proud of her talent ... Comment by terri on 03/03/10 A boy's transition to living as a female is made so much easier by having a supportive parent. I love stories like this where a boy's mother will enthusiastically begin buying girls clothes for him. Michael's mom sounds like she can hardly wait for the chance to one day dress her son in beautiful white lace on his wedding day. I like that Michael's mom mentioned the possibility of him dressing as a ballerina. I wanted to dress as a ballerina when I was nine and my older sister was enrolled in ballet classes. My mom and I used to go and watch her rehearsals. If my mom had offered to dress me in a leotard, tutu, and tights on Halloween, I know I'd have jumped at the chance! The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated. Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated.
