No matter how convoluted the plot it all boils down to the same old: stupid, pathetic husband and nasty, hateful wife.

This story reminds why Vickie Tern is 'the' favorite of many. What appears to be a simple story of betrayal and consequences, becomes a complex study of marriage. The reader is asked to define love and loyalty. Is the hero being manipulated or motivated?

The story is delineated by a statement of fact (or what passes for fact in this romp) by Sissy, "Cindy had wanted to put me into gray and black skirts and dresses for the rest of my life. Stacy was buying me beautiful colors to wear, and the freedom to wear them however I wished. I loved Stacy."

The hero is a novelist who wants to know who a woman feels -- supposedly so that he can accurately write a female characterization in his novel. Stacy believes our hero wants to know much more; to experience much more. Stacy uncovers our hero's true talents through role (and roll) play.

Those who are looking for stroke fiction might want to pass this one by. It requires thought.

Great job Vickie!

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated.   Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated.  I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory.  Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.  There is no limit on how much you can enter in the 'comments' box.   Sentences will automatically word wrap at the end of the line so please do not use your carriage return/enter key except at the end of your paragraphs.

It is not necessary to use your real name here, and, email addresses are optional.  Posting your email address will allow the author to thank you for taking the time to post your comments, and/or discuss critiques and address possible concerns.
