It's seldom that a story here brings tears to my eyes, but this one did!  The gift from Henry was precious.  The burning of the house was a shout of celebration!  Nicely done, Janet!

A lot of harsh reality at the start of this story with a painful ending as Janet burned the house for closure.  Certainly, the house could have been sold but the value of closure is hard to describe until you have lived through it yourself.

Very well done Janet!

I love reading your stories, you have a gift and I believe you could write a very good book if you haven't done so already.Thanks.

Well...I really can't think of anything to say about this story, it had me in tears.  A very emotional, and well told story.

Jeff becomes Janet,BUT her dad shows no redeeming qualities as she is raped, even beats her. Only her mom assauges her grief. The worst thing is her dad destroys her mom, dying of a broken heart. In college she finds the love & acceptance she so desperately needs. Her new dad gives her the means to become a woman. Now a woman in truth, she exacts her final revenge on her dead dad and can now live in peace.Janet, thes  story deserves a sequel. I wonder if you went through any of this described in this tale. I hope not, RAPE is ugly and demeaning. Me, i hope you find peace.

This is one of the earlier stories that Janet has done. Even then she had the talent to tell an endearing story that captivates the reader. I think that the way she has this boy starting out with an unexpected kiss and then transends to the how it all happened is very well accomplished.
The realization of the mother that her son wants to become a girl is touching and believeable.
One day I'd like to meet this talented author and tell her in person just how much she has given to those of us who continue to enjoy her works of art. And her writings are works of art.

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated.   Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated.  I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory.  Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.  There is no limit on how much you can enter in the 'comments' box.   Sentences will automatically word wrap at the end of the line so please do not use your carriage return/enter key except at the end of your paragraphs.
