This beautifully written tale tells a story that seems rare in TG fiction: it is the story of a person who has denied her inner voice for far too long, until she is finally driven to transition because she can no longer live a lie. Sweet and sentimental this story may be, but it is by no means soppy, syrupy, nor trite -- rather, it is filled with courage. The main character has a wife who must learn the truth, and a divorce to face. Though she supports her former husband through transition, she has her own life she wants to lead, and with a man who will both father and be a father to her children. The former husband, now fully transitioned into womanhood, must eventually leave the home of her marriage and strike out on her own.

While all of that is taking place, our new woman meets on her job one Dr. Luke, a much bereaved widower who is still grieving after two years. The story follows their on-again, off-again relationship, while Dr. Luke attempts to come to terms with the truth of the main character's history. Love triumphs in the end, though, which we learn at the beginning, since this story is told as a flashback. The best part, though, is seeing the main character becoming fully realized as the person she was always meant to be.

Hopefully, these comments will be of more use to the author than just "Great story, please write more!" However, I cannot offer any constructive criticism because, save for a second proofreading and the correction of a few minor typos, I would not change one single thing in it. At most, I might amend the synopsis to read "...relationship between a POST-OPERATIVE t-woman..." If you have the idea by now that I liked this story, it is most likely because I did.

Oh yes, and lest I forget: Great story, please write more! <giggle!>

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated.   Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated.  I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory.  Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.  There is no limit on how much you can enter in the 'comments' box.   Sentences will automatically word wrap at the end of the line so please do not use your carriage return/enter key except at the end of your paragraphs.
