great story,i love all your office stories,i wish they were longer,so i could read and read Comment by this is me on 08/15/12 I don't like force and I don't like blackmail. I don't much approve of situational ethics; but, and that is a big BUTT (he he), I don't see any room for him to complain. They are all being very decent to him. However, this story rather than being practical presents a best case scenario. I doubt seriously if he would have been so unencumbered by humiliation. The story just does not present a realistic procession. If it were me... I can think of worse things to experience. The expectation that they'll leave to have children, etc. The story also goes to point toward why women do not usually enjoy working for other women... setting the career women against the part-time mom/career woman. I would love to see one where a very unhealthy, severely stressed business owner who can't cope is somehow compelled, without hypnosis, to hand over the management or sell the company to his secretary and take her part in all areas (I love your descriptions of the feminization, including men having their hair cut femmy) and resists all the way only to find in the end, they're happier, less stressed and therefore healthier in skirts, and more fulfilled helping their new boss, who turns out to have more talent for the job. |
