This seemed more like 'rehabilitation' rather than punishment, which is better in my humble opinion. Although, his/her reactions at times seemed ummm...forced.

This is a wonderful story and I had a good time reading it. In my opinion it was not a punishment, it was a wonderful present to Carol :)
