I didn't like the way Kevin/Diane allowed himself to be "gaslighted" and pushed around by Anne and Dean. Kevin/Diane didn't seem to have any spine at all. I was hoping that just once he would say, "no, I won't wear that", or "no, I won't go there". To me, this made Kevin very unappealing, your main character should be likeable, and I didn't like him. The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated. Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated. I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory. Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.
