Only those of us that talk to our dolls, stuffed animals or pictures known what this story means to us.  If you see a person do this we know the type of person they usually are.  I have done it in peoples houses, said hello to a stuffed animal or whatever and asked them if they have a name for it and I am looked at like I'm a nutter.  I have more trust in persons that speak to innominate objects as they seem to be more caring, gentle and have a head on their shoulders than most others.  In this story it does not matter if the dolls voice was real or not, but the dialogue was and that is what matters and the thing is, like minded people understand this story.

I have tears in my eyes. I'm a male sissy crossdresser. I have dolls,
none of which talk to me, but they mean a lot. This is a sweet gentle
happy-ending story. Thank you so much for sharing.

LIGHTHEARTED AND INTERESTING, JUST THE TYPE OF STORY TO PUT A SMILE
ON YOUR LIPS AND A TEAR IN YOUR EYE.

Again a re-read that I enjoyd very much. I have myself two toy puppies that I love very much and they bark at me! And I am a sucker for romance - he losing his job and she finding another one and love & marriage in addition was a nice turn. And I would have loved to go to that wedding with Snowball and White Paws!

Hugs,
Sissy Baby Paula, Snowball and White Paws (my two toy husky puppies)

What a wonderful sweet story, so different from what I feared, having read some doll horror stories, and you did it all without one single sexual scene, word, or image.  BRAVO, Annie!  The doll as a catalyst for redeaming a wasted life and setting free "her" imprisoned femininity, WOW!  I loved the image at the end of the two beautiful brides - and their children.  One of the nicest stories I've read

Hi annie!!

What a cute story!! I truly loved it that the doll could offer so much to this lost soul!
I believe you have written one of the most touching stories I have read in a long time!
 Very well done!!

Nicely done.  Generally I don't care for sentimental stories but you have pulled together a nice one.

Somewhat reminiscent of an old Twilight Zone episode.  Was that in any way your inspiration?

I was a bit worried when I reached the epilog since it is so easy to tie up every lose end in a trite manner.  You did not fall into that trap which was a very pleasant surpise.  Good job!

Annie, as you know I'm partial to some of your other types of stories, but I read everything you post.  This kind of story is not my cup of tea normally, but I have to admit that you pulled it off exceedingly well.  I was very entertained by it.  And as always, the writing is first rate!

Not my sort of story at all, but ... well I actually enjoyed it, despite my trepidation that poor old Jim'd end up as Jennifer's sister him/herself.  I suppose the ending was pretty predictable once the threat of turning into a manequin was obviously passed, but the route was pleasant, the scenery attractive, and it was an easy going run.

Thanks, Ann

Geoff

This was beautiful story. Love and hope are often linked, but rarely so clearly. Thank you, Sally.
