Some describe it as more nutty than rice but to me it dedpnes on what you cook it in..like chkn broth, beef broth, water, oj, milk .etc. This is a super food that can be flavored as you like it! That's the beauty of quinoa and nutrients you can manipulate flavors in a wide range. I believe chkn stock (GF) is my favorite then add favorite ingredients to add more depth and textures. It's cooked like rice so any rice recipe you like will likely work with quinoa. The darker quinoa seems more like a wild rice texture and flavor .only more nutritious.

This has nothing whatsoever to do with this story, but I was wondering if anyone has ever seen the 1936 b&w Hollywood movie musical "Rosalie", about a young princess of a European country who visits America and falls in love with a West Point cadet (male, of course, in those days).  In one scene, the cadet wants to see Rosalie so much that he sneaks aboard her yacht docked in the Hudson River with a complete full-dress cadet parade uniform and persuades her to change into it and follow him onto campus without being detected.  She does a dance number as a boy with the other cadets in elegant white pants, and isn't discovered until her tall hat falls off, releasing her long tresses.  As European nobility back then, that was probably her very first time in pants.  Cute!

Loved every moment of it! What a lovely story! So glad Tim/Tammi was able to realize his dreams of being a woman! The relationships in the story all developed very naturally and convincingly.

What a great story!  Very well written and an interesting and surprising ending.  Now it needs a sequel about life in San Francisco for the new family. keep up the good work!
