Some stories piss me off and some stories are just what the doctor ordered. This story saddens me but oddly enough in a good way. It is how most stories end. You have dreams and you have what you consume while in hopeless pursuit of your dreams. As one movie line read... there are hopeless romantics and there are hopeful romantics. Matt is a hopeful romantic.

You had me wrapt from start to finish, and what a beautiful finish it was.
I would be curious to know how complete you had the story in your mind as you began to type the opening lines... because the intensity of "feeling" was there from beginning to ending.

This sad story was very well written, and really touched me.  It seemed like Matt/Lisa had lost everything, but I supposed she gained some friends.  It doesn't seem fair, but sometimes life isn't.

Jennifer,
Wow! I was pleasantly surprised to read this very tender bitter-sweet love story. I enjoyed it, I actually did. This story shows that love can make anything possible. Too bad about the Girls missunderstanding. This young man trully gave everything for his love. Isn't it a shame that the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Not to be overly critical because this truly was a first for you and I applaud you for writing this story, however there is one sad point. Even after learning about his love and why he did what he did she showed no remorse for the mistake. That would have been the icing on this wonderful story if she had embraced him for his love and ensure that he would not live out his new life alone.

All in all a very poignant love story with a twist. Well done!
