Your story does lack in mechanics. But, would these critiques throw out e. e. cummings for lack of capitalization.

As Roosevelt so correctly put it, "It is not the critic who counts... the credit belongs to the (wo)man who is actually in the arena.

We all write for different reasons. I can't dress 24/7... so writing about it helps relieve my stress. You had some reason for writing. Whatever they were, I hope you achieved your goals.

Your story has much to offer in the way of sweetness and love.

Keep trying. Mechanics can make your car run... it's you that drives it to interesting destinations.

I agree with all the others. A very good story. Really delightful.
But if you respect your readers, learn to paragraph & to check your
spelling. Don't believe me? Read Stephen King, Ursula LeGuin,
Isaac Asimov on these grubby litle details. Getting them right is
a sign of of pride in your work (& you have a lot to be proud of!)
& of consideration for your readers.

Frustrated by the lack of paragraphs and ROTTEN! spelling. Good basic premise but I sure wanted to throw it across the room in frustration at times. I felt quite offended. A spell checker and a grammar checker are a MUST!

Paragraphs make the story flow better,as I learned an ediditor is a must have. There are nice people who will help check thr "Authors Corner" But a good story with a couple of new twists.

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated. Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated. I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory. Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.
