What a wonderful idea!   As a schoolboy I played first horn in the orchestra for this concerto at a school concert in Newcastle round about 1945/6. The soloist was one Peter Taylor, later Lord (Chief Justice) Taylor who was a superb pianist even as a boy. The mind does boggle a bit at the idea of Peter in an 18th Century gown, though! Sadly Peter died some years ago.

Slip a CD from Wolfie into the player and enjoy this one to music! A lovely piece of historical whimsy that has a greater probability of being the way that it actually was than does the vaunted Amadeus flick. Lovely illustration, too.

Very nice story.  Could Wolfgang's comment, "That was quite fun, the dressing and all." be the foot in the door for a sequel?  Maybe an alternate universe kind of thing.

An interesting twist on history. Could it be closer to the truth than any of imagine? I don't know but it could be possible. Debbie has given us something to ponder as well as a very good story to read.
