I liked this story especially the warnings of reality about how hard people would make it on her.  The little boys try to tear us apart and destroy who we truly are all because they are so afraid of the courage we showed the world we came out to.

Great story Janet, Colleen blossoms into a woman thanks to her mom. One question though, does she get the operation & does David want her? possible Part 2 here Janet.

Well  she still has a son  ... mom just gained a daughter and a son..
seems that Janet has a stile that can draw you in and hold your mind
in a dream ... still I love this story and the outcome ...
sometimes we wish that we had parents that would love us as well ..

thank you Janet for writing this ...Rone

I like the use of the third person type story as it has been put forth by this writer. The author uses the view points of all the main characters to relate the story in a way that should give the reader some inner perspective to the story. Worth the time to read.

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated.   Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated.  I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory.  Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.  There is no limit on how much you can enter in the 'comments' box.   Sentences will automatically word wrap at the end of the line so please do not use your carriage return/enter key except at the end of your paragraphs.

It is not necessary to use your real name here, and, email addresses are optional.  Posting your email address will allow the author to thank you for taking the time to post your comments, and/or discuss critiques and address possible concerns.
