Cute, true-to-life, funny, and veddy, veddy British ("knickers", "Mum", etc.).  Unusual in that Ian (is the feminine form of that name "Iana"?) has girlfriends who don't mind him tagging along as one of them.  I just wish Ian and femme company would wear skirts and dresses more frequently, especially in summer, when they would probably be healthier than tight short shorts.

Sarah's stories are a cut above many of this genre. I've been enjoying several of her stories over the last few weeks and really  enjoyed them. They are written with care and insight, humour and layers of emotion. This one has been delightful to read.

A very cleverly crafted story told in the convincing voice of a young teenager. A delightful read.

Gorgeous. So nice to be at home with the girls and really to become one of them. I love te care he takes over how he dresses.

I really love this story. Please keep writing.

I agree with what the others have said.  I loved the innocent style and the perfectly logical thoughts that led him to the false conclusions - so many Real Life people can do that, have you noticed?  The sheer joy they all had in being together and enjoying their friendship was so innocent and sweet too.

A lovely tale, told well.

like, it really is an excellent tale. i like, have stayed away from your writing for some time now.  i think you know why?  Sighs... there's probably more than a  bit of "ian" in john, as i've drafted him.  in any event, i just want to say...

thanks Sarah, you are indeed the "best."

always,
joan...

Awesome! I loved it. One of the rare, truly UNIQUE stories posted here. I just wish it were longer... I was really getting into it and... boom! It's over. <sigh> Perhaps a sequel?

I agree with what has aleady been said. You really do get into the mind of your heroine - I love the naive excuses she makes for wearing girls' clothes! It's such a positive story too. Thank you Sarah, again!

I absolutely *love* how perfectly clueless our little narrator is!

It's sweetly innocent and hilariously silly.  A fun read.

I liked this very much. The innocent throw away remarks that reveal more than he knows, very cleverly written.
Well Done.
