Cute, true-to-life, funny, and veddy, veddy British ("knickers", "Mum", etc.). Unusual in that Ian (is the feminine form of that name "Iana"?) has girlfriends who don't mind him tagging along as one of them. I just wish Ian and femme company would wear skirts and dresses more frequently, especially in summer, when they would probably be healthier than tight short shorts. They are written with care and insight, humour and layers of emotion. This one has been delightful to read. The sheer joy they all had in being together and enjoying their friendship was so innocent and sweet too.
