Couldn't have been more sweetly written.  Nor could it have had less dramatic tension.  There is nothing wrong with two like-minded characters doing like-minded things together, but to make it interesting, you need to make the characters different from each other at least in some way other than hair color.  You don't really distinguish them in terms of personality, behavior, or history.  They could be the same person, or is that just the drugs' doings?  Well, if you do continue this, you'll have to at least get them outside of that one room, and to interact with the world around them under varying circumstances.  With a little effort, you could make it interesting.
