I enjoyed reading your four stories.  My wife's sister is married to a man from India and although his is "Western" in his activities, many of his family are traditional and I have been exposed a bit to their culture through family gatherings.  It is interesting to see your explanations of dress and customs, like the sari and the wives waiting on their husbands.
