This was an interesting sad plot concept, being betrayed by one you love and only wanted to help.  Also, the character was betrayed by one's wishes similar to the various genie stories.

Thank you very much for these stories.  I have read most of them and, although I have to agree that some of the plots are slightly implausible, very much enjoyed reading them. 30 years ago some of today's events and situations would have been viewed as 'far fetched' so I don't have a problem with authors using a little licence in their plots.  It's a bit like Science Fiction in a way!

Hi Kim,

After I had finished this story and posted it, I thought about doing it differently.  There is another idea floating around, along these lines, that may make it into another story.

Thanks for the comments.

This story was well written, of that there can be no doubt.

The main problem with these types of stories is the main character loses all previous memory. The man for all intensive purposes dies or ceases to exist in a meaningful way. Replacing him with a girl who died nine years prior is a bit weak. You'd think thaqt God or angels would be more prompt, and come up with a better solution than trading one life for another.

What about the two sharing the life they have together? They could inter-change whenever they wished to. Be a guy during the day, and be the girl at night. Or alternate whenever in the mood.

You could have made it so it was going to ultimately be his choice to merge his essence with Kimi's and thus truly become one person. That way nobody really dies or goes away.

Of course these are just thoughts and ideas. You write the story the way it is, and that is how it should be.

Kim.

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated.   Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated.  I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory.  Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.  There is no limit on how much you can enter in the 'comments' box.   Sentences will automatically word wrap at the end of the line so please do not use your carriage return/enter key except at the end of your paragraphs.
