Back with this suggestion: Has anyone yet considered a reverse-gender version of the true iconic American comic strip "Peanuts"?  Picture good ol' "Charlie Brown", perplexed and underappreciated as always, as "Charlene", with actual hair (beribboned) and an appropriate girly dress in which to bemoan her lot.  Younger sister "Sally" would become "Sammy".  "Lucy" would turn into aggressive, forceful "Larry", dispensing nickel (or whatever) psychiatric care in pants.  "Linus" would be "Lina", with a teddy or dolly replacing the omnipresent security blanket. Last but not least, "Snoopy" would be a darling lovesick little girl dog, with the never-seen interior of her doghouse decorated like the Queen's chambers at Buckingham Palace.

As long as we're talking about Harvey Comics characters, how about this idea?  The Harvey "little girls", Audrey, Dot, and Lotta, embark on an adventure requiring them to masculinize themselves (complete with pants and crewcuts) and go as "Andy", "Don", and "Lenny" (as in "Of Mice and Men", whom Lotta somewhat resembles).  I think Lotta would make a fabulous towering, super-strong "guy" once she cuts her blond locks, sheds her tent of a white pleated skirt, and finds britches big enough to fit over those enormous gams.  The other two would have nothing to fear from any boy with her around.

I think it would be really fun to see some well-known cartoon and print-comic characters in reverse gender. For instance, Emily from "Clifford, the Big Red Dog" could shear her gold locks and bangs and scrap those awful-looking pink-and-black-striped kneesox to become "Eddie", a smiling, full-faced, athletic boy; no doubt, Clifford, Cleo, and T-Bone would have lively talks.  Or Little Lulu and girlfriends Gloria and Annie could become shorn and trousered to be "Little Louie", "Glenn", and "Arnie", leaving bald little Iggy to don a wig and a supershort dress as "Isabel".  Or, of course, Richie Rich himself could switch clothes with Gloria to give her a break from endlessly having to wear that white blouse and microteeny undies-exposing light brown, er, skirt.
