A very sweet story that illustrates how one can find true happiness no matter how they live, where, or who they know.  I believe that if one wants to find it, true happiness will be there for them, it has happened to myself recently, in the form of a lovely woman, and I couldn't imagine being with any other.  Thank you Janet, for another moving story.

Janet, wonderful story of rags-to-riches. Michelle becomes the daughter her adopted mom lost to the streets, yet the streets gave her Michelle in return. Janet, I hope you won your Scarlet Ribbon in life.

A boy who has had a hard life finds his happiness by way of the kindness of a woman who he really doesn't know. Although he has kept a secret for many years he finds that now he needs to bring this out to his benifactor who is like a mother to him

By way of showing her his sectret he finds she is more than just this loneley woman and his life changes for good. He finds not only happiness in this but brings just as much goy into his new mothers life as well.

I liked the way it ended with Michelle not winning the Queen of the Ball award. However, she does win the maid of honor and that is more than enough. Eventually her own adoped daughter wins the event as her turn comes to come out at the ball.

A delightful story

Diane

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated.   Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated.  I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory.  Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.  There is no limit on how much you can enter in the 'comments' box.   Sentences will automatically word wrap at the end of the line so please do not use your carriage return/enter key except at the end of your paragraphs.
