Something was bugging me as I read through your story; "This is not the same author I've been reading."
Shortly after the end, it hit me, and I looked for when the story was written.
Ah-hah! 2003, an early one. You have since hit your stride.
Readers take note!

Hi Some of your commentators ought to build a bridge and get over it. I don't think they could do any better and although not one of your better stories I still got some enjoyment from it.

When I awoke, I was in a bed, wearing a hospital robe. Ms. Evans was there with me.
"So Heather, how do you feel?" she said, looking right at me.
"Heather? Who's that?" I said.
"Why you of course" she replied.
"Me? No, I'm Josh."
"I'm sorry but you are mistaken. You are Heather now."
------------------- later in the story ------------------
"Everyone, this is Kate. She is my new secretary."
"What happened to that guy?" asked one aide.
"He had a change of career. He is doing something very different now. We have Kate as our secretary for the department now, so everyone come and say hello."

who is this kate?  where did she come from?  is it the same person that heather was?

Dayna.

He accepts the changes way, way too easily given there is no mention of brainwashing, only physical changes.
BTW, what happened to Heather?

Not really a workplace story, but a sci-fi one.  It didn't leave me either bored or excited.  Writing is good but the plot is all over the place.  Too much like your other stories. You do better when you can the sci-fi, I think.  I seldom leave a negative review but this is the way I felt as I've loved a lot of your other stuff.  Sorry.

im not a great lover of these sci fi type stories as a guy in an environment of all women a lowly member of a sales force team if i was the guy id be off from the bank as it is run by pack of idiots demote u to secretary on same pay  err..but i love people who put effort in and write stories of anytype think of the law suit of being injected with stem cells who would want to work?

This one didn't kill me.  The loss of male power in the workplace is usually what grabs me here.  In this case, while the story is well paced, it just seems the office angle is a framework for a sci-fi story.
