Thank you for this story, Jennifer. It was sensitive and tastefully done. Fortunately I am blessed with a very supportive wife who loves our girlfriend time. I do, however, know several CD's that have to hide their feminine selves from their spouses, as did Howard in your story. That real life situation is very sad. Thank you dear for this story.

I just love your writings, Jennifer..... You create situations of real relevance to life as 'we' know it.   This is particularly poignant and reminds us all of the porential shock value (or danger) in any legacy we - rather thoughlessly - might leave behind.  What if any one of us died tomorrow.  What could be found on our PCs, let alone in our wardrobes or luggage - or even a flat we rent....  Nice,  but scary!
Lots of love,  WbGinger xxxx

PS -I'd love to have your critique on some of my own stories... please, please,  read one and comment!

Hi Jennifer
I too am a fan of yours and others have said what I feel about this lovely story so I won't repeat.  I just want to thank you.  No doubt you feel some anger or resentment toward women, for their lack of acceptance of us?  It's as if you are saying- "see what you are missing!"  That's ok of course but you and I know that most women would never feel that they could have related- even after losing a partner.  Being a woman is all about basic nature- they are what they are - and are programmed in their femininity not to be attracted to feminine men- for the most part.   It's just our bad luck Jenn.
Hugs and thanks
Mandee

The story was nearly perfect, I hope there is a second part where she activly tries to find another husband like the one she had after a suitable mourning period of course.

I have a collection of every story of yours I could ever find because I like your stories so much.  This is by far and away the best you have done. It is interesting, smooth, easy reading. It tells a tale and highlight the feelings of two people in love. There is nothing I could think of that could improve it.  Yes, it made me cry.  Thank you for sharing your talent with us.  It is a wonderful gift.

Really, Jezzi Stewart may have it right -- the best you've ever written. I just wonder if Annabel has it right, too: Perhaps an interesting story to mail to one's spouse or just "carelessly" to let lie about the house for eventual discovery.

Still that element of risk. At any rate, a haunting tale of love and desperately quiet inner conflict. What do you think Stephanie's reaction to Didi would have been?

I was lucky enough to come out to my wife and she has accepted me far better than I have. I urge ALL to come out. It will be painful but if your wife loves you like she should, you WILL find welcome, just don't overdo it.
This story hits in so many levels as to be unreal.
PLEASE keep up the good work.

Wow, what a moving tale. I pray my hubby would not feel the need to hide anything like this. Thanks for an eye-opening story

A sad, but very well written story by Jennifer White.

My only complaint is why the X rating?  There is no sex and it may prevent this story from finding the wider audience it deserves.

Poignant and brilliant - a complete masterpiece.
If anyone reads this story and has not "comes out" to their wife or partner, this surely explains why they must.  You could even print the story and leave it for you partner to find and read.
I do so hope this situation has not actually happened, but it seems so real.
Thank you, Jennifer.
Hugs, Annabel

This is such a wonderful story. It may be fiction but I am sure there are many who can relate to its accuracy in their own lives. I never stopped crying once Stephanie started reading Didi's diary. This really is the best of your many excellant stories.

Hugs,

Cassandra

This has got to be by far the best story you've written.  I cried.

Great stroy, and truth is many of us gurls will end up this way, because we love our wives but are afraid to tell them about our feminine side. I know i have purged so many times believing i could quit because i love my wife, to only find the urge to dress again and keep my feminine things hidden in the trunk of my car. You have told it like it is for so many of us, thank you Alison
