I'm delighted to find a continuation to the Sharla Winslowe stories, which happens to be my favorite series on storysite. My only criticism to file 16 is that it seems a little chaotic but then, isn't life the same?

I've really enjoyed Sharla's saga so far, and I'm looking forward to future installments. One thing that I'm wondering about, though, concerns the witches who have been sensing the huge energy releases and wondering who's responsible. They've met Sharla, and they have at least some idea how powerful she is, but, unless I've missed something, they still don't seem to have put two and two together to at least suspect that she's the one releasing all that energy. I don't know, it just makes them seem a little denser than they should be.

As far as future chapters, there is one potential problem which has crossed my mind, but which I hope doesn't happen: with new characters being introduced, as the circle of people involved increases, there is always the danger that the story could become so overloaded that it collapses under its own weight. Already there have been a few instances where I've had to go back and re-read a previous chapter to remind myself how a previously introduced character fits in. I guess part of my problem is that reading a long story on-line on a monitor screen makes it harder to backtrack than in a printed book, so it's easier for me to get confused. On the other hand, the scope of the story, with the fight against the evil forces being unleashed, demands a constant increase in scale. So there's really no way it could be simplified without damaging the progression of the plot in some way. So I guess I'll have to trust in the already-demonstrated skills of the authors that they can continue as successfully as they've done so far, waiting breathlessly for the next exciting chapter.

Sharla as the main character is so amazingly well done and her magic she tunes into so precisely is a tell all that she is the one! Your research into the world of Shama, is most refreshingly different! A combination of truth mixed with both of your twists of (beliefe?) fictional lisence.

Funny how the natural drug enhancement is missing here for the most part. I mean you do have the miixing of herbs and items for potions to heal and that is all well and good. How about those potions for seeing and traveling in the spirit realm? Soma, comes to mind here, giggle, giggle.

Soma mushrooms (certain ones of course, Peyote and a few other cactus plants when prepared a certain way are very potent hullucinagenics among a few others. Indian tribes have used these and some if not all still do to this day.

I lived with a tribe in upper Quebec for almost two years and learned many great things. Mostly on survival and doing no harm to mother earth while doing so, but a few other inner things as well. :)

I love you two's story! Well it is getting late and I still have to dress for work! GEEZ, how time fly's! Giggle.

Interesting twists in part 11 but one major item bothers me.

All of a sudden, Aunt Shelia and Jenny know that Sharla is a witch?  Like out of the blue, when Sharla has been keeping it all a secret from them?

Also it seems like Sharla turns all guys around her into girls....

Nicely done. I love what you are doing with Sharla and her increasing understanding of the magic. That's definitely the best element of the story. I tend to agree with Jezzi that the geek seems a better match for Sharla than Kevin.

It's also good to see that the interrelationship with the Andrea story is clarified and synchronized. Eventually, I'd like to see a version where both stories are merged into a single, coherent whole.

The writing is generally quite good. The proofreading and punctuation need a bit more attention. 'suddernly' in paragraph 5, 'Artic' instead of 'Arctic', 'impules' instead of 'impulse', and "terminolgy" instead of 'terminology' would not have passed in Word's spell-checker. 'Disbelievingly' is not a word, you probably meant 'unbelievingly'. Commas, both missing and extraneous, are a fairly frequent problem.

Overall though, it's still a very interesting and original adventure, well worth the reading.

After part 7:  Sharla really seems to be speeding up,pulling all the energies together.  It's also neat to see andrew/Andrea's story finally blending in properly.  Keep up the good work.  The only negative for me was I felt happy for David that he had his moment with Sharla, but sad that he was apparently only a one night stand; he seems a much better compliment for Sharla than the erratic Kevin. Also, how about the three girls conspire to teach Janet's macho asshole Kurt a lesson by gradually feminizing him; I can just see him panicing as the blue energy directs him to order a "the works" makeover at the local salon  :-)

Delightful! You are weaving a tapestry that builds a wonderful story with the 'yarn' of the woof and gradually reveals insight into magic and the supernatural in the background warp. The more you weave, the more we are enchanted with both the story and the magic.

Like Jezzi, I was a bit confused about the time relationship to the Andrew/Andrea story, but I thought that the scene with Andrew in this episode showed some kind of regression from the state of transition that was evident in the latest 'Andrea' episodes. I think you really need to clarify this as soon as possible.

Overall, I feel you are in the process of writing a real classic. When, if ever, this story is completed, it should be assembled into one piece and published as a book or e-book. (I really hope it nevers ends because it is just so good!)

Just finished part 5.  I am really finding the timing of the Sharla and Andrew stories confusing.  As far as I can figure out, The summer Sharla is spending in Sharla part 5 is the one Andrew spent in Andrew part 2 and the Sharla in Andrew 4 & 5 doesn't exist yet in the Sharla series ???

I'm also still not sure about the start of Andrew's feminization. I understand Sharla actually started it before Andrew messed with the box.  Was it simply an unremovable by product of what she needed to do to heal him, or did she want him to become a girl (or perhaps only curbing of testosterone machoness) and found his illness provided an opportunity to do so?  Either way, would he have become a girl over a long period of time anyway and messing with the box just speeded things up?

Part 3 my favorite part.

Excellent!  What a great story!  Sharla's inventions are ingenious.  I like the idea that there are two magic groups, possibly antagonistic ("I'd hate to meet her in combat.") We know that Shiela & Co. are witches; I assume we'll find out more about Sharla's "teacher" as the story progresses.  Will Naomi turn out to be part of a 3rd force and have some Native-American magic?  If so, it'll be interesting when Sharla, Jenny, and Naomi all find out about each other.
It's a credit to your ability, Christy and Misty, that as a reader of TG fiction, I didn't miss even a little the fact that as of yet there is no TG in the story.
I also like the sneaking in of alliteration in several spots; you might like my story, "SRU: Bimbo Bread"

Christy & Misty,
Congratulations!

I've read dozens if not hundreds of stories with magic; this is the  first one which made initial discovery of one's magic capabilities both reasonable ("yes, I'd react similarly if that happened") well-informed and fun. Sharla's discovery of a story about another person learning magic is an ingenious way to tell her what to do and avoid.  Having what she creates with her magic project to her how it feels is unique.  Please continue this story, and its basic ideas.
