Jennifer: What happened to Doc was exactly the same thing that happened to the rest of the crew. This is acknowledged explicitly in the last part.
Michelle: I was very pleased with that story. As on your previous ones, the basic plot was interesting and creative. On the scripting craft, you have shown a distinct improvement here -- the story flows very well, being easy to follow and understand.
What could be improved is some of the final proofreading/formatting. It's not bad -- it's actually better than the average web-fiction -- but some help from a third party at that stage could help pick the remaining nits.

I am sorry to hear of your RL issues. I am all to familiar with those myself.
I am a real sucker for  good story, especially where space or sci/fi is concerned.
This is an excellent beginning that has left me thirsty for more.
