4hN57J Thanks  for another fantastic article. Where else could anybody get that type of info in such an ideal way of writing? I have a presentation next week, and I am on the look for such information.

Josie, is that you?  Leave me a message at Moped if it is really you. People love the story -- of course.

Very well crafted story with strong charachters. Wilhelmina is my hero..ine. Leonara is also a strong willed woman. Love to meet such women. I have seen and know little about Ballet...coming from the land of Bharat natayam...India.

Amazing tale! It alternately tugged on my emotions, not unlike a ride on a rollercoaster. And "Willie"! Great character development. Tell me Josie, is there more where this came from?

MY WIFE IS THE BALLET AFFECTIONADO IN OUR FAMILY.EVEN THOUGH I TRIED HARD TO FOLLOW IT WHEN TAKING MY DAUGHTER TO LESSONS AND THE NUT CRACKER; IT JUST NEVER SEEMED TO FIT ME. HOWEVER YOUR STORY HAS CERTAINLY GOT MY ATTENTION. I AM CAUGHT UP WITH THE CHARACTERS AND THE PLOT. I APPRECIATE THE TIME YOU HAVE TAKEN TO GET IN TO THE LEAD CHARACTERS HEADS. SOMETIMES YOU SUBTLY SUGGEST AND LEAVE IT UP TO THE READERS MIND, QUITE A HOOK! THANKS FOR A GREAT READ, ANOTHER BRIAN

This is an amazing story! I was surprised and thrilled by the unique story line, touched by the richness of your main characters, and just blown away by our writing. Your voice is totally unique and you have created a tour de force first story.

The story line itself is quite extraordinary and totally different than anything I have ever read. It delivered one surprise after another right up until the last page and did it with a style that while sometimes too complex, was ultimately rewarding.

You main character Wilhelmina is completely novel, both daring and surprising. I don't think anyone like her has ever been seen in TG literature. She is a complex combination of strength, beauty, art, and a gigantic tortured heart. All this makes her a stunning package. Lenora, the ballet mistress, is such a wonderfully conceived character that she alternately appears as hero and villain and her true nature isn't clear until the very end of the story.

And your writing truly is as extraordinary as the story it tells. You literally stuffed Studio Dreams full of ideas, observations, asides, descriptions and self reflective irony. Indeed, the way you write sets Studio Dreams in its own special category. That's bad and good.It was a bad because your sentences sometimes offered up a too full cornucopia of words and ideas. This tended to slow the story down.

Many other times, however, those suffed sentences wound along offbeat paths that surprised and delighted me with their wonderful rhythm or quirky but totally delicious analogies and metaphors. Discovering them was almost like eating a box of rich chocolate candies and discovering one yummy filling after another.

I also loved the way your threw the names of TG writers into your story, in what I can only hope (because my name was among them) was an indication from you that you like them.

And finally, I love ballet. Perhaps not so many other readers will, but for me this was a special treat, and for the first time I got to join the corps du ballet, a life-long dream of mine.

I had the honor of editing this piece.  It is extremely well written.  The characters are very well developed.  It is an intense tale of two young variants struggling to fit in where it seems nothing could possibly work out, yet... well, I don't want to ruin the ending for you.

Though my preference is toward a little lighter fare, I highly recommend this to one and all.

Good job Josie.

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated.   Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated.  I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory.  Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.  There is no limit on how much you can enter in the 'comments' box.   Sentences will automatically word wrap at the end of the line so please do not use your carriage return/enter key except at the end of your paragraphs.
