Typical Vickie Tern story involving a scheming wife and clueless husband who is a closeted cross-dresser. Very well written as usual and entertaining as well with some interesting twists. Comment by Michelle on 10/16/04 The "treachery, cruelty, and disrespect" in this story does seem a little harsh, until we find out that the "loving wife" was hardly an angel to begin with. You wrap it up nicely, as if the protagonist is better off at the end, but you can't rely on the end to justify the means. I wonder if that's why no one else has commented yet, your earliest readers stunned by the contradictions! Oh, well. At least you have a fertile imagination. I just wish it were a bit more self-affirming and less cruel. |

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated. Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated. I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory. Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.
