Thanks for a good read. If only I could make a wish or 3 after seeing 3 rainbows. My first wish would be identical.

I think this is a good story, Bob, but the editor in me could not miss some errors that crept in on you. One was clearly a typo, the use of the word that instead of than in comparing the storms. This is something a spell checker will miss every time. Another is that the possessive of the word lady is lady's as in lady's watch. While I am not sure of this, when using the old English word ye in substitution for the pronoun you, the possessive would be yer, instead ye're which is a contraction for ye are. Errors such as these interrupt the flow of the story as the reader's eye is jarred by the sight of them. Or at least this reader's eye was.
Still, on my second reading, I liked the simple joy felt by the protagonist of fulfilling a lifelong wish of both herself and another. It was a very nice ending.

Dear Bobbi

Just check your little story and it was truely a lovely piece of work that is the type of sweet and sentimental stories more writers should post.  Keep up fine work like this in the future.

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated.   Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated.  I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory.  Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.  There is no limit on how much you can enter in the 'comments' box.   Sentences will automatically word wrap at the end of the line so please do not use your carriage return/enter key except at the end of your paragraphs.
