Princess  our little Sheltie, is so happy that we have found Dancing Creek Farm.  When we ask her if she wants  to go to  The Farm,  she's ready to get in the car.  For many years, Princess was a trhaepy dog and visited nursing homes and pre-schools.  Although she loved all the attention and everyone loved her, there came a time when she was too old and  ailing  and we took her out of the trhaepy program.  She was so sad when we had to board her; she just wasn't accustomed to being all alone in a cage.  With Tamara and the Dancing Creek Farm, she blossoms into the loving, friendly little girl she was when she visited everyone.  Princess is a  people dog  and gets treated as a person at THE DANCING CREEK FARM! We really appreciate Tamara and her crew. Comment by oem software on 02/07/12 TKJJTu Cool! You have answered. I'll take a quote! The meaning of life and everything else. Decided. No kidding!.... Comment by Veronica on 07/12/10 Thanks for a brilliant 3 part story, that succeeded not onlt as a TG tale, but as an un-putdownable read. Really loved the way the story twisted, by clever use of the characters motivations. Must have been hard to plan out, but enjoyed your hard work, and wished I'd read it when I was a teenager. Best wishes, Veronica Comment by Maggie on 01/03/10 I loved the story. Very well written I enjoyed it so much I had to sit and read the entire book. Comment by Silvia (from Brazil) on 03/19/09 Brian was forced by bad villains to be changed into a girl. He never wanted this happened to him. Comment by Karen E. Comment by slimv on 10/06/04 Julia, I just finished Transposed Melody. I thought it was absolutely phenomenal! I loved the plot and of course it was extremely well written. I especially enjoyed the relationship between Brian and his mom. Thank you so much for writing this. Comment by Brian on 07/07/04 What a well written story. Thankyou for hours of great reading. Comment by Cathy_t_ on 06/15/04 Julia. First of all, I must apologise for not commenting when this story was originally posted. I have no excuse, but I AM sorry. Comment by Vogueman on 02/06/04 I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed "Transposed Melody". Though I can't fully explain why, even to myself, I'm especially attracted to stories which feature entertainers (for example Crystal's "I Can't Go Home Like This" or Jenny Walker's "No Half Measures"), and I also like stories (like the two I just mentioned) which are longer than usual, developing their plots more in the manner of a novel than a short story. "Transposed Melody" certainly delivers on both counts. Comment by Kristi Fitzpatrick on 07/22/03 Was a little sceptical at first as Brian did not want any transition but at least for me it was handled very well with adequate detatils. I love the pace of this tale. You have us racing along to the next stage in the story. It is longer than usual and I appreciate that as well. The supportiveness and the fact that Brian is considered as a person and is allowed to make his own decision to be a she is quite touching. What a gift to have such loyal friends and family. I have people in my life like that so I know what it is like. Still it is always beautiful to read about true friendship. More than anything that is the highlight of the story for me. Thank you so much for a lovely story that paints such a clear picture of Brandi and her life and love. Hugs Kristi Comment by Joanne on 05/20/02 I enjoyed the story, it has a kind of theme I like and is very sweet to read. Sure, it's not very believable in some ways, but that is the fun part of a fantasy, dreaming the impossible dream. Don't be discouraged by others, you're "vocalizing" the very thing that so many of us would have wished for. That, alone, is invaluable. Comment by Jezzi Belle Stewart on 05/19/02 Siff. I am such a sucker for happy endings (Although with the final treatment of gwen, she's going to have to watch her back for life.)! Comment by Teenz on 05/17/02 I have to aplologise......I read these stories on a regular basis....but I very rarely pass a judgement. Comment by Starhawk on 05/17/02 Great finish Julia. The only thing that I would have liked to see is more graphics from Sara to flesh out the second part to this wonderful story. Comment by Jed on 05/17/02 Julia Manchester is one of th best writers of tg fiction to be found these days. Comment by Lurker on 05/16/02 I love stories of this type! Reminds me of "Texas Gal" and a few others. Keep up the great work! Comment by Bobbi on 05/16/02 I'm sorry but I didn't enjoy the story, I found it unbelievable that in a few weeks, he felt okay as a girl, felt feelings for a guy, and now hormones plus a record contract. I just don't see Brian all of a sudden going along with this. I think the problem is, most of the writers are MTF trans/crossdressers, or like being girls and we think any guy after a few weeks would also go along with it. I wanted to like it but I just didn't believe Brian would go along with this and that he would get into it. Comment by Cori on 05/15/02 Boring. It's the same tired old story that we've had a hundred times before. I'm going to make a bet with you - the boy will be "accidentally" given too much female hormones and becomes a beautiful woman, and is very happy about that. This writer is too good for that and should be giving us something more unexpected. Comment by Geoff on 05/15/02 I'm not really sure I should be encouraging you, Julia, while 'Scrambled Souls' lies in limbo, but this new one is so well written I have no alternative. Comment by Starhawk on 05/15/02 Julia this is one of your best, and one of the better stories I have read recently. I love the character development and the whole premise is believable. I wouldn't be at all surprised to learn some of the lead singers for some girl bands were actually guys in disguise. Comment by Leigh Taylor on 05/15/02 Great story, Julia. I love the level of description in your stories and this is no exception. The illustrations are a very nice touch. Thank you SaraUK. I know the other two parts will be just as entertaining as this one. Comment by Marina 12 on 05/15/02 Good story with a good start. I like your illustrations too. Keep up the good work. Comment by Jezzi Belle Stewart on 05/15/02 Another great story; I'm really looking forward to part 2. I do agree with Andi that a better ending for part I would have been Gwen realizing brandi was Brian. I also thought the foreshadowing of Brandi falling for Don was too heavy, why can't any of these hero(ines) be lesbians? Why does the new girl always have to end up liking guys - besides Brian doesn't seem like the type. I do really like Brian's good sport attitude and sense of humor. I also like that he was not made out to be a transexual or CD to begin with, that he really wants to be a guy; that should produce some really good angst as the story progresses. (Of course, in my true TG heart I DO want him to end up as a girl (or CD) and enjoying it - just how about as a lesbian! :-) Comment by Andi Foster on 05/15/02 A nice fun story which just about allowed suspension of disbelief (at least within the conventions of TG fiction). Comment by Prue on 05/15/02 greatstory julia its worth the wait and your talent stands out amongst the many fine writers here. may your muse never leave your side. huggles from prue |

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated. Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated. I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory. Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also. There is no limit on how much you can enter in the 'comments' box. Sentences will automatically word wrap at the end of the line so please do not use your carriage return/enter key except at the end of your paragraphs. It is not necessary to use your real name here, and, email addresses are optional. Posting your email address will allow the author to thank you for taking the time to post your comments, and/or discuss critiques and address possible concerns. Be forewarned that abusive remarks and language will be removed, and the posters may be banned from this AND other areas of StorySite. |
