Karen Anne, this is the first story I ever read from you.  It is wonderful and I loved it from the moment I read it.  If you plan on continuing this tale, I for one will cheer and be thrilled.  Heck, I'd even help you.

Although I haven't read the story yet, I'm looking forward to.

The main reason is I'm transgendered and work at a hotel as a housekeeper, and work hard at it.

Cleaning 12-15 (sometimes more!) rooms for as long as six to seven hours isn't fun -- especially when one has to deal with bratty kids who think it's fun running the halls and taking stuff from our carts, athletes who believe themselves to be special and above good behavior (read trashed rooms), partying alumni, ad nauseum.

We're always battling shortages of towels and linen at times, and having to keep a consistant pace (at 26 min/room) is exhausting at times.

Not everyone's cut out for this type of work, and we're consistantly having to hire new workers (especially during the summer) when they try it and find out it's real work.

Oh well... thanks for reading my rant and I'll enjoy seeing how this story fits reality.

Hugs,
Marlene

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated.   Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated.  I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory.  Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.  There is no limit on how much you can enter in the 'comments' box.   Sentences will automatically word wrap at the end of the line so please do not use your carriage return/enter key except at the end of your paragraphs.

It is not necessary to use your real name here, and, email addresses are optional.  Posting your email address will allow the author to thank you for taking the time to post your comments, and/or discuss critiques and address possible concerns.
