Dear Heidi,

Another beautiful story. The warmth of the dialogue between between mother and daughter warmed my heart. Well written character introductions. Is this really the beginings of your own transition? If so, you probably wanted to forget the meeting of your Dad and you in your dress and you went from your musings to the, "present."

A warm and a feel-good story. You haven't written since 2001 and as I said in my previous story's comment, I hope your e-address is still the same and that you get to read the comments.

Hugs from your Storysite fan,

Susan Pauline

Heidi, you have such a way with a story plots, but you leave us out hanging!  What did happen when Hans father found Heidi in his house.

Lovely story. Understanding and comfort are rare and beautiful things in a young girls life.

A very nice short story that tells an interesting tale. The sweet loving reaction of the mother was priceless.

Will we learn more of Heidi's history?

A tender story told with love.  It is rare for such a short story to show any character develpment, but this one is the exception.  It is a jewel that sparkles amid all the dross.
Keep writing, Heidi.

Very nice sweet story, but it ended rather abruptly.  Why did you leave out Hans/Heidi's father's reaction?

Heidi,

I wanted to tell you what a sweet story that was.  When you go through a process that is so ripe with fear, heartbreak, and ridicule, it is uplifting to find a story that gives the reader (and the author) hope for the tender compassions of man.

What a sweet story!  I usually don't like short stories and most
seemed dull and lack luster, but your story had that special
spark and penned with love.

I loved it!

Love,
Starla

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated.   Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated.  I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory.  Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.  There is no limit on how much you can enter in the 'comments' box.   Sentences will automatically word wrap at the end of the line so please do not use your carriage return/enter key except at the end of your paragraphs.
