You haven't written him as a bad boy, and you haven't written the relationship between him and his sister as a nasty one prior to this. He was being a good sport. Why are they being so nasty, doing this to him now, and why isn't he fighting back? What is the "no college" threat all about? Why didn't he get the hell out of there during the night? The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated. Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated.
