: What does it take to be a "real" transsexual.

The best definition I can think of is that a transsexual is a person who physically belongs to one gender and mentally to the other. There is a special "syndrome" name for this condition but I can't remember what it was right now.

This definition is a bit problematic since it would exclude fairly large groups of people who are traditionally regarded as transsexual. An alternative definition is "a person who doesn't belong hudnred percent to one or the other gender" but that of course is way too broad.
