May I signal agreement with Kellie, and add that alas it is not just in USA that times are hard just now (I have not had any paid work for over a year now, the few clients left alive expect support gratuitously!)

I would like to point out that Crystal very thoughtfully provided, with the aid of another person, for newly submitted stories to be carried on a parallel site, during repair works, but due to the narrow minded attitudes of some people who wanted to impose their own ideas of morality on everyone else, and the implied threats to authors, and all the fuss this caused, the person helping Crystal gave up, and some authors withdrew all their stories.

Both of these reactions are I suppose understandable - many people have responsibilities for young families etc, and are NOT being cowardly when they respond thus, but just careful. As an admitted devout coward myself, I can only laugh at the silly threats because I am a long way away and so ancient that it doesn't metter anymore.
If some crazy nut political regime in any crackpot state or country feels like offering me free accommodation and keep, and are willing to risk holding a dangerous revolutionary who has already succeeded in causing the head of a large and powerful nation to resign and the policy of that country to be reversed, as well as educating 2 succeeding generations of anarchists in methods of undermining authorities and wriggling around rules, good luck to them!

Alas, we all got what just some of us deserved. It is most regretable, but it is just a sad fact that there are still too many stupid, narrow-minded people on this earth, and my kind of revolution, which refuses to kill and maim people, that argues that it does not matter what others do provided they dont harm you, is unable to get rid of them. One day, such people will be so confused that they will volunteer for brain wipe and reprogramming, but until then the rest of us have to sort of tolerate them, which is decidedly unfair as they are most reluctant to tolerate us.
