The Bad Little School-Boy       by Sissy Demi

Chapter Seventeen

Leaving their two mothers to talk, the blonde and redhead grabbed the pink clothed boy and dragged him to the accessory counter. The girl behind the counter looked up at them and shot a quizzical glance at Chris, unsure of his true gender.

"My friend here needs some earrings to go with his pretty new romper," Cristina said, leaning on the glass case. Wendy leaned next to her, examining the items inside. Chris just flinched as the salesgirl reacted to the revelation of his true gender with a wide-eyed grin.

"Are… ummm… his ears pierced?" the salesgirl asked, stifling a smirk.

"Hey! Now that’s an idea!" Cristina brightened, giving Chris a sly, sidelong glance. "But, for now, no… he needs clip-ons. He may get them pierced later, though."

"What about these?" Wendy asked, holding up a pair of pearlescent pink dangle earrings in a heart-like shape. Cristina nodded and they each clipped one to an ear on the hapless boy in their control.

Seeing a way to pad her sales commission at this poor excuse for a boy’s expense, the salesgirl coyly mentioned the sale on knee socks and that she was sure there were a pair or two that would go just darling with his outfit.

Cristina and Wendy squealed in glee and asked the girl to bring them a pair to try on him. As the girl retrieved the knee socks, Chris was forced to sit on the edge of a nearby display table.

The clerk returned in a moment with a package. She told them that normally the store didn’t allow packages to be opened for customers to try them on, but she’d make an exception in this case.

They quickly rolled the socks up his legs to just under his knees. They closely matched the romper’s pink color, just a shade or so lighter.

"How about some shoes for him?" the greedy salesgirl inquired sweetly, hoping to pad the commission even more.

"Something girlish," the redheaded girl chimed in. "We don’t want him to be too comfortable, like girl’s sneakers would make him feel."

Cristina agreed and the salesgirl left to find something suitable to their demands after measuring Chris’ foot. The blonde began lightly tickling his sole.

The girls’ mothers wandered over to see what their daughters were up to and exclaimed over Chris’ new socks and earrings. Mrs. O’Hare told Chris he made a sweet little girl and hoped he was enjoying all the attention he was getting. Chris looked up disconsolately at the woman. She chuckled at him.

The salesgirl returned with a pair of Mary Janes in the same color as the sash he wore. She apologized for the delay, but wanted to find something just right for the boy’s ensemble. It also helped they were the most expensive pair she could find, too!

In short order, they Mary Janes were strapped to Chris’ feet and he was made to walk around to check the fit.

The shoes fit fine, but the females had Chris sashay around the whole department anyway. The people walking by did double takes at the young man in the pink romper and Mary Janes gliding by. Chris was mortified beyond belief.

"He looks so sweet and innocent," Mrs. O’Hare sighed. "A prefect little angel."

Cristina’s mom noticed both Wendy and Cristina eyeing the femininely clad boy hungrily. She wondered where this rivalry, that neither girl had realized yet, over the also unsuspecting Chris would eventually lead.

The greedy salesgirl, uncaring over the swishy girl-boy’s plight, bounced up to the teenage girls with a jade heart pendant dangling from one hand and matching hair bow clips in the other.

Cristina and Wendy spent little time slipping the pendant over his head and affixing the bows in his hair, chattering their approval of the additions.

Cristina was undecided over which romper to get for Chris. She really liked the first one, but felt that the current one he was wearing was more suited to him.

She also liked the knee socks and Mary Janes and thought they’d look better with the button front romper. Her mom suggested they buy both. The back zipped for Chris and the button front for her.

The salesgirl was asked, much to her delight, to find another pair of Mary Janes like the ones Chris wore and another pair of knee socks. She returned with the shoes but informed them no more pink knee socks like the ones he had on were left.

Cristina was crestfallen. Wendy came to the rescue by holding up a pair of knee socks that folded over and had jade ribbons on the side. Cristina clapped in joy, mentioning that they were just like the ones she had made for Chris in Home Ec.

They had Chris change knee socks as Cristina went to change into her romper set..
