The Dancer II

Part V

by Samantha Kimberly Thorne

Kelly and Julie carefully plotted the next few months of school, and Kelly was soon one of most popular girls around.

She wore clothes that showed just enough, but left them longing for more.

The short skirt – blouse combo was her favourite, and she loved teasing the guys who, when she walked the halls as Dave physically and mentally tortured her.

"The shoe's on the other foot now, guys", she thought to herself, "and this time it's a high heel shoe."

Charlie couldn't believe his luck either. He was always seen as a real loser, but when he and Kelly were seen around together all the time, people who wouldn't give him the time of day before began saying hi, and even talking to him in some cases. It was usually about Kelly, and how did he know her, and the obvious how did she look naked question. Charlie became very good at stringing little stories together, with a little bit of help from Julie & Kelly.

"Tell them we made out down The Point, that should make a few jerks jealous," Kelly instructed. "If they ask if we went all the way, you just smile and give them a maybe-maybe not type answer."

The Point was the place where generations of teenagers had gone to be with their lovers, and allegedly where numerous babies were conceived, giving it the

nick-name 'Pregnancy Point'.

When asked Charlie did a perfect job telling the story, leaving the jocks standing open-jawed, wondering if he was telling the truth, and for the first time Charlie walked down the school hallway, with a smile on his face as if he owned the entire school.

Prom was coming up fast, and the girls started to look for their dresses one week-end when they travelled to the nearest big city by train.

They were getting plenty of looks, as Julie wore a tight white angora sweater, hipster jeans, tucked into 4-inch heeled leather boots. Kelly had decided she would were a short skirt, after a long and agonised decision between the two of them. She chose a tight pink pleated skirt, a white top with the word 'GIRL' in joined letters, and pink high heels, which had a few heads turning on the platforms when they got on and off the train.

Kelly was very nervous going through the station, with her appearance, the sound of her heels, and the largest amount of people she's ever witnessed.

Julie assured her, "Don't worry, these are city people, and they can't believe how great you look, you can see it in their eyes." "Maybe the skirt was a bad idea, I think I should buy a jeans and change." "You'll do no such thing, let them look, that's what we want, especially at the prom, we want those guys to be standing on their tongues, crapping themselves when they see you walk in."

The girls had a great time shopping, but couldn't find a dress for Kelly anywhere, until they spotted a little shop in an alley off the back of one of the big malls.

They had a good feeling as soon as they walked into the shop, called 'Moments'.

A lady in her early thirties approached them, and said they both looked beautiful.

They told her they were looking for a prom dress for Kelly, and Jennifer, their helpful assistants' eyes lit up. "Oh my God, PROM, I love it. I think I might have just the thing." She kept talking as she disappeared into the back of the shop: "I was Prom Queen when I was your age, it was great."

She re-appeared with a dress bag, and told Kelly to go into the changing room to try it on.

She also handed Kelly a box, with a label on the side that Julie couldn't really read.

"I'll be out in a minute, and you can tell me what you think", Kelly said as she unzipped the bag. Then she let out a little squeal of delight. "Oh, it's fabulous, I can't wait to see their faces." "Problems with some people, have you?" Jennifer asked. "Yes, Kelly used to look a little different than she does now, she got bullied a lot, but now she's turned into a really beautiful girl, and we want to make the people who hurt her feel as bad as she did", Julie told her.

A few minutes later, the curtain swished back, and Kelly emerged to gasps of awe from Julie and Jennifer. She was wearing a gold halter neck dress which clung to her body , with a short, flowing skirt, and 5-inch gold strappy heels, which mad her legs look fantastic. "Buy it now, I've never seen anything like that in my life, you're the Prom Queen for sure," Julie told Kelly, who shed a few tears as her friend gave her the greatest compliment she's ever had.

"My oh my," said Jennifer, "you're really amazing, I'm glad I gave you that dress, oh, can you do me a favour?" "Sure, if I can," said Kelly.

"I've got a show coming up, and I need models on a full-time basis for my clothes, would you girls be interested in the jobs, we'll help with accommodation, and you might even get to keep some clothes, starting with that dress."

The girls hugged one another and said they'd think about it, and Jennifer took their cell numbers, packed the dress, shoes & accessories and they headed for home, to more admiring and lustful looks on the train.
