How Allen Became Ellen

by Rhonda

Ellen part 7

The alarm brought Ellen back to life at 6:30, he couldn't remember setting it but there it was. Too bad, he was in the middle of a rather nice dream involving Vickie straddling his hips. It was better than the one before with Tracy doing the same thing and getting pregnant.

He felt around and found the pink robe to put over his aqua waltz gown, and headed downstairs for some much needed coffee. Gert was already up and dressed when he got there. She had heard him coming and had a cup poured and on the table.

"You look to be still a bit fuzzy in the head from last night, sweetie" she said when his eyes finally opened half way.

"Just a bit, but it was worth it".

"Vickie and you seem to be getting on quite well".

"I hope so, she is so much fun and always full of surprises."

"I have a feeling you two were leaving a lot out of your recounting of the day."

"No mom, just some shopping, the jewelry store, the movie, and a couple of drinks is all we did."

"She seems a fine young lass, but a bit headstrong if you know what I mean."

"I don't know how you get that mom, but she knows where she's going and how to get there."

"Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed your first trip out, but now you need to get around for school, you're cousins will be here by 7:30 to gather you."

Ellen sat and tried to enjoy his coffee as his mom headed for the kitchen to fix breakfast. the more cobwebs the coffee cleared, the more room there was for questions and confusion in his head. How serious was he really the morning after about staying a girl for Vickie, or a she male or a transvestite. Why did it seem to come so natural for his mannerisms and gestures to fit this new female look. How come he looked so good as a female in the first place. Was his aunt really right that he should have been born a girl, but then Vickie said she was never wrong with the ones at the school. Was she really trying to help him find himself, or just getting back at him for his past transgressions. Why was Vickie so nonchalant about 'if it comes to pass', and who is this Dr. Kelly she wants me to meet. So many questions, and the only one who seemed to know any of the answers was Vickie, but he couldn't ask her some of them.

He was interrupted finally by the plate set before him.

"You seem lost somewhere." his mom said as she sat down.

"Just a little nervous about going to St Catherines is all."

"You needn't worry, aunt Lillie will look after you, and you'll do well I'm sure."

"Mom, about the soreness in my chest...".

"I'll have a look at it when you're done eating."

After he finished eating, his mom had him remove the nightie and stand in front of her in the light. She examined him closely and poked at them before looking back up to him.

"Do they seem to be getting bigger to you mom?"

"A little, but I think that might be some stretching from the weight, they are a bit sensitive and I have some cream to put on after your shower that will help."

After his shower, he got dressed, first the girdle, then stockings, panties, slip, blouse, and finally the muave plaid skirt with the hot pink threads. he pinned his wig back on, then did the day makeup with the dusty rose blush and shadow. Then he brushed some mascara onto what was left of his eyebrows and onto his eyelashes. All he needed was the pink lipstick from his purse downstairs

and he was set, at least physically.

He went back down, did his lips and waited for his cousins. They were there a few minutes later, and the three of them set out for St Catherine's Academy for Girls. "And wayward boys" he thought they should add.

No sooner than they cleared the porch the cousins started their questioning.

"Did ya get laid?" Tracy asked first thing.

"Yeah, she threw me down on a bench in the mall and had her way with me, what do you think?" Ellen said.

"Was that before or after she talked you into piercing your ears?" Stacy asked.

"Why did aunt Gert tell mom on the phone that you came home drunk?" Tracy said.

"I wasn't drunk, we just had a glass of wine after the movie" Ellen replied.

"Oh, now we're getting somewhere!" Stacy said.

"We did nothing but shop, watch a movie, and talk a bit" Ellen replied hoping to shut them up.

"Then what did you buy 'shopping'? Tracy asked , "Besides the heart-on-a-string earrings".

"Just a couple of dresses, some shoes and a swimsuit." Ellen answered.

"What did you talk about?" Tracy asked.

"Nothing I'm going to tell you." Ellen replied.

"You're no fun, girls like to gossip about their lovelives" Tracy said.

"Ok, since I don't have a lovelife, lets gossip about all the times you got laid." Ellen said.

That got her off his back for the time being, and he was able to try to focus on what lay ahead at school. He knew that once they got a chance to talk to his mom they would start in with the questions again. Finally, the school and safety.

They went in and over to the gymnasium where the other students were gathered. Ellen looked over the others closely, trying to see how many of the other 19 'special' girls he could identify. Over the 10 minutes they waited for the assembly to start he had 4 definites and 4 maybes so he knew that there were 11 more because aunt Lillie said there were 20 enrolled this time. The definite number 5 came in in the person of Stephen, with his mother.

The girls with the 'monitor' badges came amongst the students and started to line them up on the gym floor. It took them just a few minutes to arrange 20 lines of 12 girls each. Ellen was in the front of the first line, steered there by Stacy. He was glad it wasn't Tracy. He glanced down the row and found 6 more definites and two more maybes, but noticed also that all the ones he had spotted were first in their respective line. The first ones must all really be boys, but there were 3 of them he was sure were girls.

The room hushed when Mrs Hanoran stepped up on the little podium at the front of the lines.

"Welcome students to the summer finishing school session. I am Mrs Hanoran, the headmistress. Some of you know me some of you don't, but you will all find me to a fair but demanding master. I have 20 class days to turn many of you from little girls into ladies so we don't have a lot of time to waste on nonsense. The ages in this class range from 10 to 17 and from soon to be sixth graders to a high school graduate. An adverse group, but with a single purpose, to move from girlhood to womanhood equipped for success.

"How about out of here?" came from the crowd.

Mrs Hanoran nodded to one of the monitors who grabbed the speaker by the arm and took her to the front of the podium.

"And who are you, young lady?"

"I ain't no lady I'm Joseph, Joseph Reilly."

She got down off the podium and went to a file box beside it. One of the other monitors had already started looking for the file and handed it to her.

"Seems you're confused, young lady, this says 'Josephine' Josie for short, but you are right, you are obviously not a lady yet, that's my job"

"I don't care what it says, I'm Joseph!"

She locked him in to her famous gray eyed glare as she circled him. You could see the whole room cringe as she came around and looked him in the eye.

"Lets see. Wearing a skirt." she started, as the monitor came up behind him, unzipped the skirt and gave it a yank.

"With a lace slip underneath" she continued as she unbuttoned the blouse.

She loosened the straps and pulled the slip down his arms. "And a bra and panties, and pantyhose."

She turned to the group as Josie tried to cover himself up, "Tell me group, what gender would wear the outfit you all saw to school?"

"A girl" said the chorus.

She pulled the enrollment form from the folder, "What does this say?"

"Josephine Michelle Reilly"

"Louder!"

"Josephine Michelle Reilly"

"So what you are telling me then, is that Bill Reilly, who I've known since high school, lied to me on an official document."

Silence! She just let him stand there in the pink bra and panties, as she remounted the podium.

"Are there any other girls here with an identity problem?"

She looked over the class which was starting to giggle softly as a group. They hushed quickly as she started to speak, except for Josie who was sobbing out loud by then.

"Mr. Wilson, can you assist the young lady-to-be with her wardrobe?"

A tall teacher dressed in a orchid suit and heels made her way out of the line and took Josie by the arm. The monitor picked up the skirt and slip and followed behind them.

"As I was saying you are lined up this way for a reason. There are 10 stations, with two sections each, where you will all learn the essentials for being a woman in society. Now starting from my left, I want you to count off one through ten then start over.

Ellen, being in the front of the first row, said "one".

And so it went down the line.

"Remember your section number, today you will go to the classroom bearing that number, the first group of ten going to the rooms on the left out the doors and the second to the right. Prompty at 11:45 you will all go to the cafeteria where your teacher will show you where to sit. Every other day you will move a number, with the 'ones' becoming 'twos' and so on."

The monitor, returned to the front, where Mrs Hanoran nodded to her. She pulled another file out of the box and handed it to Lillie.

Looking at it, she read "Edith?"

The girl in the front of the eleventh line looked up, "Could you be a dear, and move to the front of the second number 10 line? Thank you."

"As all of you are aware by now, we have some very special girls here. The front girl in each line will need some extra help and encouragement from the other girls in her section as you all have a headstart on the basics over her. Will each of the special girls step forward please? Then turn around so your classmates can see you."

There was shuffling as the students complied, most reluctantly. As they were doing that, Mr Wilson brought the unfortunate Josie back into the room and took her to the front. She had heavy foundation on now, along with bright blue eyeshadow, bright red cheeks, and bright red lipstick. She looked like a whore!

"I think it will be easier now to recognize Josephine's femininity, don't you agree class?"

A mumbled group "yes".

Josie wobbled on her now high heeled shoes as Mr Wilson led her to the vacant spot. It was obvious that Josie's error had happened before, it was equally obvious that it didn't happen twice in the same class. Even Stephanie had dropped the defiant look and was watching her shoes.

Mrs Hanoran started adressing the group again, "Today at nine Ellen, you will report to the office, tomorrow at nine Josie will come down. When you are a left side number 1 special girl you will come down the first day of 'Feminine Hygine', the right side on the second day. If you feel it is important for you to catch up on the proper use of tampons or douche, I'm sure the other girls will fill you in."

The girls in the back of the lines giggled, the ones in front didn't. "Now, because of the earlier disruption you will have ten minutes to socialize and get to know each other before going to your class. Every day you will be in this room promptly at 8:00 for a half hour of socializing and announcements before class."

The ten monitors went to the girl in the front of each line. They each had a steeledged ruler in hand. They pressed the ruler against the waistband of each 'special' girl in turn and rapidly slid it down to their knees. There were several yelps.

"Each of you girls who yelped, go over to Mr Wilson, and she will help you get rid of the offending bulge. The rest of you may socialize and get to know each other until the bell rings. DISMISSED!"

Ellen was glad he remembered the gaff this morning, but was wondering why he had to go to the office. Not that he really needed training in the use of a tampon, but he and the others were carefully arranged in the assembly.

"I'm glad I'm a number 1", a younger girl who introduced herself as Emily said to him, "I just started my first period saturday, and its' a mess."

"So did I" a girl who called herself Nancy said.

It was apparent quickly that this school was very well organized, as other girls in his group started confessing to it being their 'time'.

Three of the girls came up to him as a group "You're really a boy under that skirt?"

"So far, yes" Ellen replied, "though I can't guarantee what I will say in four weeks, after my first half hour here."

"Surprised all of us! We thought you were genuine, and one of the prettier girls in the whole school too" the girl who called herself Annette said.

"We could take lessons from you" Emily said joining the little cluster, "your makeup and hair are perfect."

"Excuse me" Ellen said as he left the group and went over to Stacy.

"Where's the mens room in this place?" He asked when he got there.

"Silly little girl, whatever would an all girl school waste space on a boy's potty for?"

His look told her that he was hoping she would run interference for him, but she didn't bite.

"Its' out the main door to the left, right across from your first classroom. Make sure you sit, you don't want to be caught peeing on the seat and us monitors check!" she whispered into his ear.

He left the room as quietly as he could, but it must have been a signal as 3 other girls started for the door too. He got there quickly and locked himself in one of the stalls. He remembered to sit, and double checked the seat when he finished. It was a good thing, because one of the monitors followed him in and checked. By the time he got out of the stall there were 7 other girls waiting for one of the 5 stalls to open up. He checked his makeup and redid his lipstick. He got back out into the hall just as the bell rang and the rest of the girls were leaving for class.

So far it wasn't bad for a prison, but the other girls in his group seemed to accept him with none of the teasing he expected. He went into the classroom and noticed that each desk had tampons, napkins, saniwipes and a belt on it. He didn't know how any of them worked, and he really didn't care to learn, this was way too personal for him. He headed for one of the desks in the back, but the teacher waved him to the front and pointed to a seat.

He sat in it as the other girls filtered in, chattering and giggling. When all twelve desks were filled, the teacher stood up and started.

"Good morning girls, I'm Mrs. Horvath R.N., and I'll be your teacher for the next two days, and Stacy Hanoran will be your monitor.

If you have any questions or private concerns feel free to ask us either privately or outloud. You older girls can assist the beginners if they need it also."

No body spoke up so she went to the 3-D overlay hanging in the front. It depicted the female reproductive system in more detail than Ellen had ever seen, and made him blush. He wasn't alone, as the 4 younger girls in the class did also. She started explaining the bold print items of the illustration and explained their function. Ellen turned his head when she flipped over the next overlay that showed red coming down the vagina.

There was a knock on the door just as she flipped over the one with the belt depicted. Stacy entered, and said "Ellen, come with me please."

"Good morning Ellen, you look very nice this morning" aunt Lillie said when they arrived.

She saw how nervous he was by the look in his eyes and his fidgeting, "You can relax, this is just a standard thing we do with all special students, you're not being singled out."

She took his hand and led him to a conference room off the main office. It had three large padded chairs past the other end of the large table, and two of them were already occupied. She took him over to the two for introductions.

"This is Dr. Ryan, a psychiatrist specializing in gender disorders" A very tall grey haired man stood and offered his hand.

And this is Dr Roth, a behavioral psychologist" A slender younger woman about his height stood up.

Ellen limply shook hands with each of them as Lillie continued, "This is Ellen Jordan, at 17 she is the oldest of our special students this year."

Both doctors looked at Ellen closely, then Dr. Roth spoke up, "Ok Lillie, you're not trying to slip us a ringer again this year to test us are you?"

"Actually, this girl was my nephew, I should be sure about that." Lillie said, "But don't let that influence your evaluations in any way."

She turned to Ellen, "This is just designed to help you fit in and to determine any special tutoring or care you will need, so relax, answer their questions as completely and truthfully as you can, and I'll see you at 11:40."

After Lillie left, Dr. Roth spoke first, "You can call me Joyce today, how many years have you been dressing as a girl Ellen?"

"Four days now," Ellen said.

Dr. Ryan said "You can call me Bob today, but remember to be truthful with us. How long have you worn female clothing fulltime?"

"Four days doctor and I'm not lying, ask aunt Lillie, she'll tell you."

The two doctors whispered to each other, then turned back to Ellen, Bob said "I'm sorry, we believe you, Joyce is my 'bullshit detector' and you fooled both of us completely. Sit and let's talk."

Ellen sat, putting his legs together, bending at the knee and then at the waist, as he smoothed the back of his skirt with both hands, then when he made contact with the chair, sat and slid back, folding his hands across his lap.

"See" Joyce said to Bob, "Ever see a lady sit more gracefully? Even your wife isn't that genteel."

"That's why I was fooled, not one single remotely male gesture or response since she came in, and look at her, not one physical trait that would tip you off either." She continued.

"Do you drink coffee or want a soda or anything?" She asked turning to Ellen.

Coffee would be nice, and maybe a cookie please." Ellen responded.

"And the voice, a little low, but well within the female timbre." she said to Bob as she reached for the offiice buzzer.

When the office girl came in, she asked for a pot of coffee, some condiments, and a plate of cookies, then said "Tell Mrs. Hanoran that we are going to need the afternoon session also with this girl."

After the refreshments were brought, they started asking him questions. First, about his family, then about any preschool contact with girls that he could remember. They hadn't quite finished with elementary school when a knock on the door interrupted. It was Lillie, telling them it was lunch time. "Could you have our lunches brought in, so we can confer while Ellen's out to lunch?" Bob asked.

"You seem to be enjoying yourself" Lillie said to Ellen as they left for the cafeteria.

"Its' not bad, they are really nice to me, and they both thought you slipped a real girl in to try to fool them." Ellen said.

"They refuse to let that die, don't they." She said.

"What?" Ellen responded.

"Four years ago, they were about half way through another class of 20, and it seemed they were using a mimeograph for their reports, so I sent Stacy in as a test. It took them almost two hours before they realized what was happening since she hadn't 'blossomed' yet." Lillie said with a chuckle as she recalled the look on their faces.

"I can see that with Stacy, sometimes I still wonder." Ellen said.

They reached the cafeteria, and Ellen rejoined Mrs. Horvath's group for lunch. Several of the girls slid over closer to him as he sat to inquire about what was happening with him.

"What are they doing to you down in the office?' Nancy asked.

"Should we come and protect you?" Emily said.

"Nothing really, I think they are trying to figure me out, but its' sweet of you girls to want to stick up for me." Ellen said.

"Have to" Annette said, "you are our little sister and they kidnapped you first thing. I want to teach you how to strut like this."

She got up and did a small demonstration. She was probably 4 inches taller than Ellen with wide hips that exagerated her swaying as she did her best 'Marilyn Monroe' walk.

"Just be careful, my girlfriend might come to visit and you don't want to cross that she-wolf" Ellen said.

"Who's your girlfriend? What's her name, I'll beat her to a pulp for you." Annette countered.

"Her name's Vickie, and I don't think so" Ellen said.

"Vickie who?"

"Victoria O"Malley"

"Her?" Annette's eyes got big, " I"ve heard about her, she went to school with my sister Bernadette."

"What did you hear?" Ellen said, hoping to gain a little insight into Vickie from the girl side.

"She's the one that drove her stiletto heel through a guy's front teeth when he tried to take her skirt off to make sure she's really a girl."

"why did he think that?" Ellen asked.

"Don't know, sis said he didn't say much after she kicked him, but I guess she's had 3 or 4 years of karate classes and said 'no man touches me unless I tell him to'. I heard she's a real tiger complete with the flaming red hair."

"That sounds like my Vickie." Ellen said. "I don't think she'd back down from a herd of stampeding elephants."

"where do you live Ellen?" Annette asked.

Ellen, who had been on the end, was now three girls deep on the seat as the rest of the girls joined the group.

"On Euclid, just off 57th" he said.

I live on..." "Euclid and 60th " Ellen finished for her, I know Bernadette.

"I heard her dad is a monster."

"I don't know, I haven't met him yet, but I've heard the rumors too."

"I heard that if you look at one of his daughters crosseyed he'll cut your balls off and feed them to you."

"I heard that the guys that happened to were gangies, and lost their nerve when they were supposed to rob the liquor store on 68th."

"Why are we talking about this mean and vicious stuff?" Emily asked.

"Open your eyes Emily, do you want to get raped?" Nancy asked.

"No! but a good screwing would hurt" she replied.

"Are any of you virgins?" Ellen asked.

Annette was the only one who shook her head yes, "My sister got raped by those liquor store robbers of yours and daddy lost his job because of it. I'm with Vickie, kick 'em all in the teeth."

"I remember she missed a month of school near the end of seventh grade, is that why?"

"I'm not supposed to talk about it." Annette said.

"Let's change the subject" Nancy said.

"To what?" Annette said,

"Makeup!" Julie, one of the girls who had jioned the group chipped in, "Who does yours Ellen, she's good, real good."

"You gotta be kidding." Ellen replied, " I did it at 7 this morning, half drunk yet."

"That's not what I meant, I can see the mascara clear out past your lashes, I meant your cheeks, their are so tanned and your chest is pasty white."

"That's the blouse dear, see, white." Ellen said.

"Do you like wearing girls clothes?" Jannette, one of the joinees asked.

"Promise not to tell anyone if I tell you? That goes for all of you, one two three four five six seven eight." Ellen said as he counted around the group.

"This skirt and blouse suck, I look a lot better in yellow or mint green."

"You'ld be dynamite in red with that blondish hair Ellen" Janette said.

"If I've learned anything lately, its' not 'what ya see is what ya get'." Ellen replied.

"I like the dresses, not fond of the wool skirt, haven't mastered 4" heels yet and my bra is killing me." Ellen said.

"So what else is new?" Nancy said. "There's nothing better than a satin evening gown, 2,1/2" heels and a strapless, then I feel like a princess, but here I'm supposed to feel like a student."

"Boy's dresses don't come in yellow or mint." Vivian, another new joinee said.

"Then I guess I like girl's dresses because they do." Ellen said.

"Do you have on panties or bvd's?" she asked.

"Panties, but nylon not the white cotton ones you've got on." Ellen responded.

"How do you know that?'

"Because your skirt was caught in them when you were in the bathroom before class, silly girl."

"You were in the girls restroom?"

"Find the boys, and I'll go in there."

"God! is nothing sacred?"

"Not here!" Nancy said, cutting in. " 'cept Jesus but he wore gowns instead of pants."

"What are clothes anyway?" Vivian aid.

"I think, what you want other people to see you as, not necessarily what you are inside." Ellen answered.

"What do you mean by that? I think I am beautiful in this outfit."

"Glad you think so, want to put it to a vote?" Nancy said.

"What do you mean by that?" Vivian asked.

"I think you're PMSing, " Nancy said, "Three days on the rag will do that to anyone."

"You bitch"

"Sorry, she's right, " Ellen said, "There's not a guy I know, even queers, who can't tell when a girl's ragging it."

"So, how long have you been trying to be a girl?" Vivian asked.

"Trying?, according to the shrinks in the office I've already succeeded." Ellen said. "But after the first half hour in that class I think I'll get my jeans back out."

"Why? " Nancy asked.

"The pictures she showed were bloodier than the films they make you watch in driver's ed." Ellen said.

"That and pregnancy are the only down sides to being a girl" Nancy said.

"Don't forget about boys" Annette said, "Being a girl means putting up with them following you around and doing stupid things,"

"You're a lez, aren't you Annette?" Vivian said.

"Why do you want to know, trolling for a date?" Annette replied.

"Now girls, let's not fight." Ellen said.

"She's right you two, we're supposed to be helping Ellen see how much fun it is being a girl, not trying to outbitch each other." Nancy said.

"Any boys ever hit on you Ellen? As pretty as you are I can see them following you like dogs after the butcher's truck" Annette said.

"A bunch of them at the mall yesterday, and the Zales manager asked us out for a drink" Ellen said.

"Us?" Annette asked.

"Vickie and I" Ellen replied.

"She's georgeous! I wish I looked like her." Janette said.

"You go out in public dressed like that?" Emily asked.

"Sure she does, I saw her at the K of C with the Hanoran girls" Nancy said.

"Yep, they're my cousins." Ellen said.

"You're Allen Jordan? My sister hates you with a passion." Annette said. "Wait until I tell her you're my classmate here."

"I'm Ellen Jordan, I don't want to get stripped!" Ellen said.

Stacy came up as he was fininshing the sentence and said, "Sorry to break up the conversation girls, but Ellen has to go back down to the office for a while."

"What are they doing to her?" Annette asked.

"Just trying to find out if she's good enough to be a girl" she replied as Ellen got up.

"See you later girls" Ellen said as he walked off with Stacy.

"This isn't so bad" Ellen said to Stacy.

"It isn't if you're a good girl, but mom meant it when she said she doesn't have time for nonsense. Poor Josie is going to have the time of her life here." Stacy said. "She's here because she seems to have a preferrence for her sister's clothes, we'll see how long that lasts for her."

"How do you know that?"Ellen asked.

"It's on their entrance interviews, but most are here because they got caught, just two are forced this time, and four want to convert. That's why we do the psychological evaluations, so we know how to help them all." Stacy said. "Despite the rumors, we're really not dedicated to torturing boys here, though it does do some good that people think it, or the threat of a summer at St Catherine's wouldn't scare many boys into behaving better."

They arrived back at the office to find the doctors waiting for Ellen, anxious to begin again. He went back to the conference room, where they started their endless barrage of questions again. They seemed to want to know every little detail about every little detail.

Finally, just before two, Joyce buzzed to have Mrs. Hanoran come in.

"We've reached a few preliminary conclusions, though our report to you will have a lot more substance and detail. Since you are her aunt we wanted to know if you would like her present for them, or not." Dr. Roth said.

"Well Ellen, are you man enough to find out if you're really a girl or not?" Lillie asked him.

"I'd like to know what they think, since I've heard what you think for years now." Ellen answered.

"Ok, continue dotor." she said.

" Male personality growth seems to have become arrested sometime around age 9 or 10, followed by a period of ambivolence. Then after the trauma of his father's death came a reversion to infantilism, from that point on personality and intellectual growth have been decidedly female. The only reason we can find for his not abandoning the male role prior to this is that it was his only source of individual identity in an otherwise all female family. If he had had a male sibling or cousin to eliminate that, he most likely would have reverted to a purely female role at about 12 or so. In any case, he seems to have suconsciously worked at forcing you to make good on your threats to turn him into a girl so that she wouldn't have to admit responsibilty for it to herself." Dr. Ryan said.

Dr. Roth said, "That's why she fooled me in the beginning as to her gender, and as to how long she has been demonstrating it. That and her very obviously feminine appearance had us wondering if she weren't trying to pull a fast one on us again."

"So, what does all of that mean?" Ellen said. "Am I a girl, a boy, or what?"

"You are a female living in a male body, when you said that something snapped in your mind on the second day, it did, you realized you got what you wanted and didn't have to fight it anymore. It is going to take a while, with help, for you to sort it all out in your own mind but when you do, that is what you are going to realize." Dr Roth contiued.

"Why don't you go back down and rejoin your class now Ellen. I will have the formal report later today or in the morning and we can go over it then with your mother, then go from there." Lillie said.

Ellen and Lillie left the doctors to their work. Ellen heading back to feminine hygene and Lillie to her office and the paperwork of a new class.

At 2:20, there was a knock on the headmistress's door. "Enter" Lillie said.

It was Vickie.

"What brings you by today?

"I promised to give Ellen a lift home from school, and I got here a couple of minutes before I figured, so I thought I would say hi." Vickie said.

"That's sweet of you, by the way, how did your day out go?" Lillie asked.

"It was pleasant and rewarding, Ellen is letting more and more of her female personality take over all the time, and the more she does the happier she seems to be with herself. I think she will be a 'girlie' girl by the end of the month." Vickie replied.

"I had her first to meet 'Rip and Roar', and she spent all day with them, they're doing their report now." Lillie said.

"Anything you can tell me? or just nod your head if they confirmed what I spoke to you about Saturday." Vickie asked.

"You know medical records are confidential" Lillie said, nodding her head vigorously in the affirmative. "I'm sure Ellen will have something to say about it though as they kept her there until just 20 minutes ago."

"Then she's in one left, right?" Vickie asked.

"You monitored long enough to know the drill here" Lillie replied.

"On a lighter note, how did Stephanie do today?" Vickie asked.

"She's in poise and ettiquette and got de-pantied by the girls twice before lunch, the second time they took her gaff to so she's probably bowlegged by now with the wool skirt on" Lillie replied with a chuckle.

"Any other keepers this year" Vickie asked.

"4 more probably, but I can't guarantee it until the doctors get done." Lillie replied.

"Any chance you can have a copy forwarded to Dr. Kelly?, Ellen and I are meeting him after school Wednesday." Vickie asked.

"I'll have to clear it with Gertrude, of course, but I don't see any problem dear." Lillie said just as the bell started to ring.

"Bye," Vickie said, "I only work till 1 on Wednesday, we'll talk more."

"Take care sweet one, and take care of my niece." Lillie said.

Vickie left the office and went to Ellen's classroom. Ellen was just outside the door talking with a group of classmates as Vickie came up.

Noticing the boisterous giggling, Vickie asked Ellen "Anything I need to be jealous about?"

"No sweets" we were just organizing a walk home posse so we don't all get attacked on the way home. Gang, this is Victoria." Ellen said, then had to stop and breathe again.

Ellen introduced them all to Vickie amid envious stares at the georgeous redhead. She could see the jealousy in some of their eyes and picked the brightest set, "So you're Annette Peters, Bernadette's little sister?"

"Yes, that's me" She said pulling up to her whole 5'9".

"I graduated with Bernie, she talked about you some" Vickie replied.

"Nothing good I hope" Annette responded.

"She said you would be a good engineer, something about making dykes, as I recall" Vickie said.

"Did she also mention that she's like creamy peanut butter, smooth and easy to spread?" Annette asked, adding " She's pregnant you know."

"As long as you're not the father, what can I say?" Vickie said, "Let's go Ellen, you've obviously had a busy day."

"Bye Ellen, sweetie, see you tomorrow for douching 101," Annette said batting her eyes.

"You two sure hit it off," Ellen said to Vickie as they headed for the doors.

"She's got the hots for you honey, I was just letting her know that I'd defend my turf." Vickie said.

"So what did you learn today?" Vickie asked as they got in her car.

"That girls are gross, and the shrinks they hire there think I might be one." Ellen said.

"Except for the blood and guts, you are honey." Vickie said. "Oh, my mom invited you to supper, want to come?"

"I'm starting to realize that, and its' so damn confusing. When I was with the girls at social and lunch, I just seemed to fit in more and more every minute. No girl has ever stayed within 10 feet of me for that long before." Ellen said.

"That's because most of them thought they would have to fight you for 'cock', they don't know that gender identity and sexual orientation are two different animals" Vickie said.

"Huh? I'm confused" Ellen said.

"Do you look pretty today?"

"I think so, and I paid more attention to my carriage like you said to."

"Do you like this?" She said, popping her breast out of her bra.

"Wow!" Ellen said.

"See, feminine orientation, male sexual drive. If you were double jointed you could screw yourself and like it."

They pulled up in front of Ellen's house, with Vickie giving her a very sensuous kiss before they left the car.

"How was school today?" Gert asked as they entered the house, "Oh, hello Victoria, I didn't see you behind Ellen."

"Just an orientation day mom, trying to figure out what I needed to learn. By the way, Vickie's mom asked me to dinner is it ok if I go?"

"There's something different about you tonight sweetie, are you alright?"

"Like what mom?"Ellen said as she skitted over to the end table with the pleat of her skirt in one hand, to set down her purse.

"I'm not sure, but it'll come to me."

"You must mean the 'girlie stuff', she was surrounded by 240 girls today, some of it was bound to rub off." Vickie said.

"Did you know Burnadette Peters is pregnant mom? Her sister said she was, three months." Ellen said.

"Why no, I'll have to keep an eye and drop a hint." Gert said.

"If you would like you can dine with the O'Malleys, but keep a watch for the old man he has a thing for either lad or lass that fancies his daughters" Gert said.

"Not to worry Ellen, Daddy is a pussy cat and I'll have to fight him for your attentions." Vickie said. "Mom keeps him on the short leash when I have friends."

"Aunt Lillie called just after lunch and asked if I wanted to share dinner tonight anyway, so you and your cousins would have had to fend for yourselves here anyway, Oh, the girls are staying the week with us." Gert said.

"Well girl, go change then, and we'll have some time with mom before dad and Jenny get there." Vickie said.

Ellen headed upstairs, scampering on the balls of her feet as she went. "What shall I wear?" She hollered down from the landing.

"The light blue skirt with the sail boats, or the blue shirtdress" Vickie hollered back.

Ellen chose the shirtdress that Vickie had picked out for her yesterday, with the light blue suede sandals, thinking to herself "I never climb stairs that way, Stacy and Tracy do".

That dress meant off with the girdle and stockings, on with the corset, and might as well wear the blue satin bra and slip set too with it, but then I'll have to change my panties to match and oil my legs so I can go without stockings. No wonder it takes us girls so long to get ready, so much to do.

Finally Ellen had things changed, then checked herself, cinched the belt a little tighter, pulled the back of the skirt to straighten the hem, brushed her hair out and checked again. She went to the bathroom, washed of the light pink day makeup, and reapplied herself with dusty rose blush and lips and mauve over the eyes. She went back to the full length mirror and checked again. If there was anything she missed, Vickie would have to find it for her, and it only took half an hour. "You're getting good girl" she said to herself as she headed back down the stairs.

"I was wondering, but now I see it was worth the wait" Vickie said as Ellen waltz-stepped across the livingroom.

"That is a beautiful dress sweet heart, and prettier on you" Gert said, "And try to be back nine-ish as tomorrow is school dear."

"I'll have her back ma'am, and hopefully not so much before the wind as last night."

"You'll be drinking again?" Gert asked.

"Gregor says a girl can't lie with irish whiskey on her lips, so she could have a nip or two."

"Well be careful, and have fun girls."

They headed the six blocks to the O'Malley's house without much being said, but with Vickie eyeing the delectable Ellen as she tried to keep one eye on the road.

Laura O'Malley was sitting on the porch swing as the girls parked and headed over.

They exchanged hellos, then Vickie said "You told me to bring home the boy I fancied to dinner one night, so here she is, she'll need a plate for supper too."

"OH MY" Laura said. "Victoria Lynn O'Malley, one day you'll be the death of me."

"I'll get the bottle out." Vickie said. "Let's go to the back, not talk out here on the street for everone to see."

"I've got a roast in so one more isn't an issue but we shant eat 'till six when Coleen gets home." Laura said.

"She didn't call? I called her at noon and told her to leave by 3:30 so she was here to help me if you fainted." Vickie said.

"You're such a thoughtful daughter, a mother would be proud to fill a house with girls like you Victoria Lynn." Laura said.

Ellen wasn't sure what to do, obviously Vickie's mom just found out about the invitation, and Vickie had told her she was dating a boy, nothing left to do but follow her around like a puppy and keep quiet.

They sat at the picnic table in the yard. Vickie poured three tumblers of Jameson's, one filled with ice in deferrence to Ellen's inexperience.

After a hearty sip, Laura said "You are such a pretty lass, I'm happy to meet you, and you two are lo...lo..lovers? Whatever will Gregor say."

"Mom, it isn't quite as bad as you make it, this is Allen Jordan, cock and all, just dressed more comfortably."

"No!" Laura said as she did a heavy pull from her glass.

"Ease up mom or our guest will have to serve dinner." Vickie said. "We call her Ellen when she's in this mood."

"pleased, I'm sure, I think" Laura said offering her hand.

"Let me explain a bit before dad gets here, and you'll have to be straight enough to get it to make sense to him mom." Vickie said as she went over and sat on her mother's lap.

She explained about how Allen came to be in the current situation and her past referrences to him, and how the change in wardrobe had affected his behavior and that he liked the new 'her', and so did she so everyone be damned, this was as it is to be.

As she finished, Gregor came through the back door. "No one was out front and the door was wide open, now I find my wife and daughter nipping with a friend by 4 o'clock, what goes on here?"

Vickie got up and ran to her father, jumping up she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed his cheek "Daddy."

"What have you been up to lass, you've the devil in your eye and your mother in a bottle." Gregor said.

"Oh nothing really daddy, this is Ellen, a friend from school we were just chatting a bit, she'll be here for supper too, would you like to pull up a glass?" Vickie asked.

Gregor nodded, knowing that if his wife was nipping now something was amiss, and it was a hard day at the plant. He strode over to Ellen as Vickie headed for the kitchen and more glasses, and more ice for Ellen. Ellen stood, but Gregor was a foot taller and twice as broad abeam, and meekly offered her hand. Gregor kissed it and sat down beside is wife.

"Pleased to meet you Ellen, you're a friend of Victoria's from St. Leo's? And such a pretty lassie too, maybe you'll lead my Vickie to a man."

Laura made and audible gulp, then squelched it with another swig of Jameson's. Gregor took a tiny sip of hers too.

Vickie emerged with the glasses and a pitcher of ice and sat down to her dad's 'I want to know and I want to know now' look.

She couldn't sit, she was bouncing around like a windup toy, then she took a big gulp, burped, and said " Daddy, this is Ellen, and I'm in love with her, but she used to be Allen and he was a boy and she kinda still is, but not a bad one, understand dad?"

Three vacant stares!

"What? What on god's green earth, lass, from the time you were born I told your mother "Laura this one will be a problem," and you haven't disappointed me so far little girl, but you got me gasping now my little flower."

"Oh, I just love you to pieces daddy" she said as she went over and wrapped her arms around his neck, "I saw you look at her when you came in, now tell me man to man, she's a hot one, yes?"

Vickie wrapped his unsuspecting heart around her little finger. You could see the love pour out of his eyes as she sat down by Ellen again. Ellen was baffled, there was something missing here and she had no clue what it was. Laura drained her glass and reached for the bottle.

"You need to phone after the cemetery plots before five, my darling." Gregor said.

"Ellen, I wondered when I would see you here, and you're not on a rope in the alley yet, dad must like you." Coleen called from the porch as she came through.

"Mom the roast smells cooked, but I'll turn it down when I get my glass" Coleen said as she went back in.

"Wednesday dad, wednesday Ellen and I are having dinner with Dr Kelly, and I'll have him call you, be good until then." Vickie said.

"Oh my god, potatos," Laura said, "Coleen be a good girl and throw the potatos on the sink in with the roast." She yelled.

"Let's go in, I think the sun is affecting your mother" Gregor said.

They went into the house, and Gregor sat his wife on the couch and went to the kitchen, "Coleen, can you finish up dinner?' He asked. "You knew about this, and not a word to help a poor man prepare." he said as he left.

He gathered Vickie in one arm and Ellen in the other and led them to the parlor, shutting the door he said "And just what goes on here?"

With his hand heavy on her shoulder Ellen resisted what she felt would be a futile attempt to run. Vickie was still bouncing. Gregor sat them down on the setee together, and walked over and sat in his leather reading chair. He took a good pull on the whiskey, then spoke, "Some little girl has some explaining to do here, I'm not sure which of you it is, but someone needs to talk....soon."

Vickie went over and sat on his lap, ''Daddy, you know how I am, I can love a man like you as a daddy, but I could never take him as a mate, Ellen can be a brat at times, but she's enough of a woman to satisfy that need, and enough of a man to give you grandkids, I hope."

"She's really a he? Really?" Gregor answered.

"Show him 'wee willie' Ellen"

"No that's ok, I trust you there, you haven't, well haven't, well haven't, hell you know what I mean, yet have you?" He asked.

"Dad You know I can't do that yet, I'm a good catholic girl by force." Vickie replied.

"Has Vickie told you about herself much, Ellen or Allen is it?"

"Some, she's told me about her difficulties at school and how some of them came about, and how my aunt saved her life."

"Your that Allen? I thought you and Coleen hated him."

"I told Coleen, give him some time and he'll come around, and see she did."

"What's with the dress then if you're really a boy?"

"Daddy, I picked that one out for her, don't you think it looks pretty?"

"Very pretty, you have good taste honey, but buying your boyfriend a dress?"

"Does she look like a boy dad? Be honest now, I saw you on the porch, remember?"

"Well no, she looks like a very beautiful girl."

"Thank you, I think" Ellen said.

"I'll make her wear pants to the wedding if need be, but until then, please, just treat her like any other of my girl friends, ok?"

"Also dad, she might need to crash here for a while."

"Crash?"

"Stay over for a month or two?"

Coleen knocked on the door signalling that dinner was ready.

"We'll see." Gregor said as they headed for the dining room.

Vickie took Ellen over to the buffet and started handing dishes to her, Ellen took them and set the table with Vickie right behind with the silver. The Ellen followed with the glasses while Vickie did the linens. Coleen brought out the roast on a platter with the potatos, a basket of 'brown -nserves' and a bowl of peas. Then she brought out a pitcher of milk and a gravy tureen.

As the family gathered around the table, Gregor asked the guest to say grace, "Thank you Jesus for the bounty you have provided, and thank God for second chances" Ellen said.

Just as Gregor started serving the meat to his family and guest, Jenny came through the door, dragging boxes and her wedding dress," A little help here!"

All three younger girls jumped up to her assistance, and got the load under control, "That is such a beautiful gown, I hope mine is as pretty," Ellen said.
