Chapter One

Finally I knew where they were I had dusted a coven two weeks ago and I managed to get the location of there home base. Now I was heading there to for fill my mission of revenge.

I drove the bike through the desert heading to Las Vegas there home I should have known it. The sun was going down it was the late summer but out here it was still hot but as the Sun went down the temperature dropped dramatically. I saw the neon lights of the filling station and dinner, looking down at the gauge on the tank and the rumbling of my stomach, I knew I needed to stop and fill up.

Pulling in I stepped off the bike and walked over and picked up the petrol pump and took it over to the tank and filled it up. An older women in overalls popped her head out of the cabin, I smiled at her she smiled back, I stopped when the tank was filled up, I then took the opportunity to check the air pressure of the tyres. Then I walked into the cabin, the women looked up from behind the counter.

"That'll be $10," she said. I took out a roll of notes and pulled off a ten and handed it to her.

"So where you headed?" she asked.

"Las Vegas," I replied.

"Oh that can be a dangerous place," she said. "Why are you going is it business or pleasure," she added.

"It's personal business," I said. "Hay is that dinner any good," I added to lighten the situation.

"Sure, it's the best for 10 miles in any direction," she said, then she cracked a smile.

"It's the only one for 10 miles in any direction," she added bursting out laughing I had to smile even though I knew it was coming. I turned round and left then I headed over to the dinner. It had a large pink neon sign saying open next to the door.

Open the door the interior was bathed I light form the florescent light on the ceiling. Also I was overwhelmed by the smell of food, the place wasn't exactly busy. There was a woman sitting at the counter and a young couple in a booth. I walked over and sat at the counter. There were two waiters behind the counter plus a couple of cooks in the kitchen, both were older men both with expanded waits and thick ankles from all the walking that they did, I could tell that they were experience they wore sensible shoes not high-heels.

One of the waiters stopped in front of me and gave me a smile. "What will it be sugar?" he said.

"Coffee," I replied. He poured me a cup and handed me the menu, I picked up the coffee and took a drink. It was hot and it felt good as it slipped down my throat.

"So what will you have?" he said coming back over to me.

"I'll have the burger and fries," I said. He smiled and walked over and gave the order over to the kitchen. A few minutes, he put the plate of food down in front of me. I looked at the plate, it had been so long since I had last eaten, I felt my stomach rumble, that I picked up the burger and took a bit. It tasted like heaven with the hot meat and the crunch of the onion and lettuce held together by the bun. I ate it up then started ton the fries.

"Wow there, or you give yourself indigestion," the waiter said as I munched down the fries. I looked up from the food. "I've not eaten for a while could I have some more," I said. He smiled and refilled my cup of coffee, then turned and gave the new order over to the cooks in the kitchen. I picked up the cup and drunk down the last of the cup of coffee, the waiter refilled it.

The second plate arrived and I picked up the burger and ate it down it little more slowly than the first one. Through the window I could see the headlights of a car, pulling into the petrol station. Suddenly I was enveloped in a very familiar feeling.

When you've been hunting, vampires as long as I have then you develop a six-sense for them. Slowly I checked that my guns were in the small of my back. The rest of my equipment was either in my pockets or on my bike. The young couple over in the booth got up and walked over to the door. I turned my attention fully to them. They had their arms round each other they were very much in love it reminded me of my love.

We were getting married when the reception was attacked by a group of Vampires I was only saved by the intervention of a vampire huntress Savant she saved me though I was badly hurt.

When we returned there everyone had been killed I looked down at my dead husband and swore revenge. Since then I have carried on with her work and with my own mission to hunt down the coven of vampires who killed my husband and family then to wipe them out.

I was jolted by to reality when I knew that there were vampires at there, I paid for the food and got up and walked out of the dinner. I wanted to find the couple. As I turned the corner into the car park, I heard this terrible scream. I knew what exactly was going on.

Starting to run I found the car with the young couple looked inside surrounded by four vampires. I reached into the small of my back and took out two .40 S&W Walter P99 raising them I took aim on one of the vampires. They were distracted that's why I could get so close. The guns were loaded with composite carbon bullets, I squeezed the triggers and the guns jerked in my hand, I fired again.

At the sound of the roar of gunfire, the four Vampires turned to me but the rounds found there mark right through the Vampires heart, it fell down onto the hood of the car and rolled off, as it hit the dirt it turned to dust. I re-aimed at another Vampire and fired twice more again I hit my mark and the Vampire turned to dust. However Vampires have greater strength and speed compared to humans, so before I could reaim the other one of the others, smashed into m, knocking my guns out of my hands, then she kicked me hard in the chest I fell down but sprang back up and pulled out a ballistic knife, however instead of steel it fires a wooden stake, which I fired into the Vampire she stopped in her tracks then turned to dust. The last one came at me and jumped on me, I fell down under her weight.

"I'm going to enjoy killing you," she said. I was frantically trying to throw her off me, as she reaches down to bite me, the moonlight strikes the cross I wear around my neck and shines in her eyes, blinding her, this gives me the opportunity to throw her off me and turn the tables. I reach down to the side of my right boot and pulled out a stake, which I thrust into the heart of the creature then I jumped off the body and watched as it turned to dust.

Standing there I brushed myself off and went over and picked up my guns. I looked over to the car with the young couple.

The woman gets out and comes over to me.

"What were those women?" she said.

"They weren't women and you know what they were. You and your boyfriend need to take more care, with Vampires around," I said.

She looked at me, "I looked at her them at him, and then I turned away and walked over to the Vampire car. I checked it out there wasn't much in it, except for a membership card to a place called club V in Las Vegas. That had to be the place I was looking for, I walked over and got on my bike and drove out into the night. There would be any more vampires they generally don't like the desert, no shelter from the sun if they get caught there at daybreak, which was only a few hours away at best. Also the desert was not the best place to find food.

Well I guess a girl can be very wrong indeed. I was driving down the dirt road, when I saw this car sitting by the side of the road. I struck me as usual so I stopped and got off the bike, as I approached the car the front side passenger door opened and a woman got out I knew that it was no woman and as she approached I drew the ballistic stake out and fired it right at the woman. It punched her back against the car and she turned to dust. Drawing my guns I knew what would happen the door opened and four other women got out and I fired. I fired and hit the first couple dusting the them both and then the other two both of which collapsed and turned to dust, I looked at my guns they were both empty. I dropped the empty clips and reloaded them.

Then I heard noises coming from inside the car, I walked over with a sense of trepidation, I slipped my left hand back and returned my left hand gun back and returned it to its holster, extending my hand I opened the back door and saw a scantly clad young man in a torn dress, he looked like they were having there fun with him before they turned him into supper. Pulling him out of the car gave him a quick check over to see if they've bite him no there were no signs of bite marks. He was in a state of shock and was unable to tell me anything, I carried him over to the bike and sat him down on the seat and climbed on and drove of into the night heading for the bright lights of Las Vegas.
