The Magical Misty Dawn of Valentines Day

by Angel O'Hare

Chalance was celebrating his 18th birthday today and it was a very special day! All those who were close and dear to him would be coming to the party. There was Erin, Tess, Ian and Angel, but there was another that would be there as well. Not seen, not heard, but sorely needed.

Yes, Chalance should have been very excited, but he was not. He was very depressed! He had cried all through the night and now it was morning and no tears remained for him to shed. He was empty and lost with no one to guide him in the direction he knew he must go. His four friends had helped some, but the decision was still left to him to make alone.

The morning was bright with the early morning sun. Already the chill of the night was being warmed away as the sun rose slowly, evaporating the darkness and cold. The promise of a wonderful day loomed as bright as the morning, but Chalance was as dark and cold as the night. No answer could he find for the questions he prayed to have answered. If he only knew what lay ahead, he would be happy and content.

His mother called to him with much love in her voice with that tone and tenderness only loving mothers seem to freely share. She was concerned for her son. She had sensed his despair, but nothing she said could reveal the source of his despair. Her son held it within him so tightly and close, only he knew the truth which he would not disclose.

Chalance's father was sitting at the kitchen table. A newspaper held loosely in his hands. He was reading the news knowing all that they had planned. He had spent much money to make this party a success. The invitations had gone out and all but one answered with the promise of attendance. This party would be the best Chalance had ever experienced. His father was happy that there plans had come together. Yes, his son would celebrate becoming a man! 18 years old and soon to be off to college, to Stanford it was and a business degree. His son had it made like he did so long ago.

Chalance upstairs in his room, heard his mother's call and all too soon he would have to face his father. The answer his father wanted was not the one Chalance had to give. Stanford and business was not what Robert had in mind for his future. No way out is what Robert was thinking. He wanted music and art, a school of free thought. Berkeley he had wanted and a liberal arts degree. He sought the California sun, freedom and a future of his desires. He looked in the mirror and groaned at the sight. He needed, a good wash to erase away the effects of his long sleepless tear filled night.

Once again, his mother lovingly called, "Chal, breakfast is ready dear, please hurry or it will get cold."

Chalance answered her call with an empty voice, "I am coming mom, just need a quick wash."

His father called out, "Chalance! Hurry son, we have much to discuss and don't forget we have to go out and pick up a few things."

Chalance groaned silently as he made his way to the bathroom and quickly washed away the nights gloom from his features. All too soon the confrontation that must come was upon him. He thought how could he do this? Would he do this? Then again, wouldn't it be so much easier to let it all slide, to make his Dad happy and fulfill his dad's dream? Oh, the dilemma he faced so soon and abrupt. Chalance knew in his soul he could not break his Dad's heart. It was not in him to do so. So sensitive and tender this boy is.

He finished washing and put on a fake smile. He went downstairs to face the future he did not want. His mom and dad looked at him and smiled. He smiled back and sat down as his mom filled his plate. She gave him a hug and patted his head. Yes, as always the morning ritual did take place. His dad looked up and said good morning to his son. Robert smiled his fake smile and said, "Good morning dad."

They ate, all three in silence this morning. Each with a secret not to be uttered until the time was right at the party tonight! His dad was thinking what a surprise the new car would be. His mother thought her present would delight her son. All the guests that were coming would surely please the young man. What they all did not know was the mystery guest that was not planned. Yes, she was coming with a purpose so sure, unseen and unheard, but her presence would be felt!

Chalance's dad finished his breakfast and said, "Chalance, Stanford is the best school for you and a degree in business is what this family needs. The tradition of our family, your Great Grandfather, my father and me, we each graduated Stanford with our business degrees. With honors we passed and I know so will you. The family business we pass on, all depends on your efforts. I know you will do well and make us all proud. I dreamed of the day we will work side by side. Then it will be you that will lead the way. We are depending on you, Chalance and I know you are ready. Son, we have a few things to do today, so finish your breakfast and we will get them out of the way."

Chalance was done and his mom took his dishes to the sink. He gave her a hug and headed for the door. His father was there and they left together, his dad handing him the keys. Chalance drove as his father gave him directions. He wondered where they were going, but his dad would not say. They drove and drove for an hour at least. They arrived at a store, it was large and it looked like a clothing place. They got out of the car and together they entered.

An old lady greeted them and offered her help. His dad accepted and told her his son needed some nice clothes for college. He added the college was Stanford, the pride so evident in his voice. The old lady was impressed and led them to the better clothes with the much higher price. Chalance knew what lay ahead, like always he would stand there and just accept his father's choices. The old lady was quick and understood right away that the father would be choosing all the clothing for his son. She picked the most costly, the best and with each nod of his head she smiled more and more. She showed Chalance to the dressing room to try on all the clothes. The first time he came out, as she checked the fit, she gave him a quick look and a wink. She marked that set for alteration looking at Chalance and then his dad. She knew, but kept silent, this sale would be large. Each time he came out she marked them and back again he went. When everything was tried on and marked for fit and altering, Chalance just smiled his fake smile and stared straight ahead. His father also purchased a leather briefcase and a Mount Blanc pen set for him.

They left and dad drove this time. While they were gone, his mother was very busy. She started putting up the decorations and a few of her friends were helping, the banner was hung and all the presents were wrapped and hidden away. They started the cooking and were all happy doing the things they knew best.

Chalance and his dad just drove around then and his dad began the proverbial lecture. The same lecture all young men get from there fathers too late but a necessary part of life. The time finally came and they arrived home again. Chalance had to smile seeing the banner and the decorations. Then the smells of his favorite foods made him smile even more. His spirits were lifting and now his smile was real. His mother was so happy! His father was proud and happy as well. It became infectious and Chalance began to feel better, about this day anyway. He pushed the thoughts of the future in the back of his mind. He would enjoy this day and not think about the future until later.

Robert went up to shower and change for the party. He thought of his close friends coming and his heart lifted, Tess, Erin, Ian and Angel. Oh, they were such good and close friends! They knew how he really felt. Maybe, just maybe, he would have a good time tonight.

The un-invited mystery guest coming would not be seen or heard. She would be there and then she would know. Those sensitive enough would feel her presence. They would look around and seeing nothing they would dismiss her as a weird feeling and go back to there party. Yes, this un-invited guest might just change everything for Chalance. We must just wait and see.

To his friends, his name was Shallie and as he looked down at himself as he showered, the evidence of why was clearly there. The hormones he has been taking ever since he reached the age of 16 had done their work. He now had small budding breasts with slightly enlarged nipples and so very sensitive to his touch. His manhood small and shrunken and the testes too small to even really notice. So easy was it for him to tuck it away, which he did every single night. His daily exercise routine, which he did almost without fail, had shrunken his middle which is taught and firm. His fanny was rounder and fuller now, which was why the old lady at the clothing store had to make alterations to all his clothes. His shirts, pants and jackets all had to be altered to fit this so-called young man's new shape. He had noticed her look, which his father luckily had missed. He wondered how much alterations would be made and what he would look like wearing them. Yes, he had shaved once again and his body was free of hair and the skin taught and smooth. Chalance was very fair and his hair was long, a shiny mass of cascading blonde. He stepped out of the shower and gazed into the mirror seeing his brilliant light blue eyes flashing as the sun danced within them. He was happy with this vision, very happy as he smiled at the beautiful creature looking back at him.

A voice and a knock is all it took to bring him back to the here and now. His mother called to him softly through the door, "Chalance dear, hurry now your guests will be arriving soon."

Chalance answered in a voice as soft as hers, "Almost done mom, be out in a jiff."

It was time! He was ready and comfortable now. His parents had bathed and changed and were downstairs. They had everything in readiness and Chalance was ready as well. He left his room dressed in his baggy casual clothes and came down the stairs as the first ring of the doorbell sounded.

It was Ian! The older brother Chalance never had. Ian was an older man to Chalance, in his early forties and a professional airline pilot. Chalance met him when he flew cross country and was able to visit the cockpit. The young people flying were able to do this as a treat and as a way of making them more comfortable and less bored with the flight. Chalance's interest and keen questions made Ian notice him, but it was the boy's beauty that touched Ian's heart. They became friends right there and then, during that flight. Ian had offered to teach Chalance the basics of flying. Chalance readily agreed and once his parents met Ian, they soon agreed as well. Ian and Chalance became close friends, more than that, they became family. Ian was his older brother and Bobbie? Ian's little sister. That was the deep secret they shared. They shook hands as Chalance was thinking how much he wanted to hug this man. To give him a sisterly-kiss and keep holding his hand.

Soon the bell dinged once more, it was Tess! The young lady Tess, so pretty and smart, her eyes were as brilliant as her mind. Large dark pools of blue seemed to take everything in at a glance. Missing nothing, remembering everything and she always knew what to do. Tess is 5'6" tall with a mix of blonde and light brown hair, delicate, sensitive and so very aware. They hugged at the door and kissed cheek to cheek. She knew right away that Chalance needed all of his friends this night. She could actually taste the young man's inner turmoil. Tess had met Chalance online in a chat room. The internet was both of their links to the world. A different type of family lived online. It is where you can be anything you wanted to be. (Within reason of course.)

Again the bell dinged. It was Angel! Chalance was so happy to see her! His listener and confidant to everything he could share. She would just sit holding his hands and gazing within him through his eyes. Very still and quiet she was. Graceful with every movement and a voice made of song. Her eyes were huge and hazel that flashed in times of gladness or whenever she sang. When she spoke, you listened because it was with an answer you had sought. So tiny she was, so delicate and fair. Hair of gold cascaded down, long and flowing, as Angel walked she seemed to be floating in the air.

Another ding sounded and Chalance saw Erin was now here, the author and wordsmith, a woman with a brilliance of mind. Erin was published with many books and short stories. Chalance had entered a book shop looking for a particular novel. It was not there, so he wandered through the stacks. That is where he met her among the science fiction but with a twist. This section had books under the heading TG & TS. She saw him and what a beauty he was! She smiled right away and asked if she could help him find something. Chalance smiled back and said he wasn't sure. He did not know what TG & TS were. She asked him a few questions and picked a book of hers' off of a shelf. They sat on the couch as she explained things to Chalance. His heart soared and he was happy, he really wasn't alone. They talked long and it was heartfelt, soon Chalance had Erin's book in his hands. Signed by her and given freely to him as a gift. From then on, they met there at that bookstore at least once a week. Erin helped Chalance see the truth and let him know that he was never really all alone.

Erin the strong, she was called. Not because of any certain look, but because of her personality and her surety of whom she was. Yes, from websites to books, from short stories and poems, Erin was sure Chalance needed her as a friend and as a teacher. Chalance's grades in English soared soon after they met. His parents liked Erin and Chalance began to write. Erin is a beauty in her own right. Tall, slim and graceful with deep penetrating green eyes with long slender legs and graceful arms, hands with fingers so careful and direct. Her hair cut short so as not to get in her eyes. She was always writing and busy on the computer at night.

With his friends all here, his parents and their friends as well, the party began in earnest as they ate and conversed, each with a drink in their hands as they moved to the living room. Chalance's mom brought out the presents and each of his friends added to the pile. He smiled and thanked them as he opened them one by one. Carefully and delicately he un-wrapped them, never once did he rip the paper or break a ribbon.

What was that? No ding or knock, but each of them felt something, not sure what it was. Chalance's parents and their older guests were the only one's who had not felt it. On the other hand, Chalance and his personal guests each looked around sure that something was there. Not seeing anything, they all went back to the presents with Chalance happily un-wrapping each gift.

It was her, she was here! Misty Dawn had arrived. A spirit Shaman princess. A member of a long lost tribe of American Indian. The power she held was awesome, which she controlled completely. Misty Dawn, an ageless beauty, perfect in every way with long black hair braided down her back. Very large deep radiant eyes of every hue, each element was held in her eyes. Long black eyelashes held still as stone. Not a blink did she need, a spirit is free of these human needs. Her hairless perfectly smooth and proportionate body was beauty complete. No flaw, no error, no disturbance was there.

Angel knew! Angel felt in her all sensing way that yes there was something, some being here among them. She excused herself to get another drink, all the while using her senses to feel about the room. She found her! Yes, there she is a spirit of perfect beauty and strength, hunting, searching and finding what she sought. Angel sensed peace, a sure calm was in the air. The spirit had sought Chalance and found he was what she sought. Angel knew Chalance had been chosen, but for what she wondered. What Angel felt was good, but she wanted to know more!

Misty Dawn gazed at Angel and dismissed her with a thought. Angel returned to her seat rebuffed from the spirit. She was sure this was good and Robert deserved all the good he could get. Misty Dawn smiled and the gladness in the room increased. With just a thought she touched Chalance and claimed him for the purpose. Yes, the purpose, the true reality why we are here. That reason every human seeks, but never really finds. Chalance would! He was chosen and he was perfect! The choice was made.

Misty Dawn knew all that was left was for the power of three! (Dear reader's, it would take to long to explain the power of three, just accept that it means completeness) This a special time in the universe and the day chosen was a special day for humans as well. Yes, Chalance would become what he would become on that special Valentines Day

Yes, on that day with a morning mist, first descending from the Heavens during the night and then rising with the sun from the ground in the morning light. The mist would surround Chalance and make him anew. As he slept he would change and as he awoke he would know. This person, this shape would not startle or confuse. Shallie would be born a new spirit chosen for her purpose. She would be complete, perfect in every way. Her destiny revealed the knowledge, all she would use again and again. Her heart was so pure even in her man form today. Misty Dawn knew his true form and identity. Yes, Shallie she truly was in each and every way. The virgin spirit was needed now for sure. This world must survive! Human kind was needed to set the balance anew. Shallie was that virgin and with her birth the world would know hope. Hope and peace, love and forgiveness, the balance restored. The virgin has been chosen and now must be protected until that day of her birth.

With just a thought, a spirit's touch in mind and body. These friends of Chalance's were made one in the same. Their purpose was known to them now and they would carry it out until the end. Tess, Erin, Ian and Angel, each would protect Chalance with everything they possessed. If successful the four would join in the world's transformation.

It is Valentines Day as the clock struck at 12:00. Now the protection must be complete and all were there. The evil forces attacked with a vengeance, the power so strong. Chalance's friends stood ready, each prepared for this fight. One hour, now two, then three and she fell, Angel had given her all and now she lay in total exhaustion. Erin stepped forward in Evil's direct path as Ian pulled Angel back and to safety. Each friend was exhausted but would fight with everything they had. Four, now five hours went by as Erin and then Ian fell. Tess stood up taller, no matter her pain. She knew it would be soon and they would win. Her heart was full of love and selfless giving as always. That was her power, her strength and her purpose. It was that power that held evil at bay as Tess fell down, exhaustion claiming her in the last. The sun had risen by then that was sure. Before Tess fell she saw those rays of life! She saw the Evil's retreat in bitter anger that they had lost again! Tess, with the last of her will power crawled to her fallen and exhausted friends and all together again, they were deep asleep and slowly recovering.

The living mist rose from the ground. Misty Dawn stood naked and sure. She lay with Chalance and embraced him in pure power. Soon Misty Dawn rose once again with the sun. There in the bed, the pure virgin was born. Shallie was perfect beauty in every way. She quickly went to Tess and kissed her with love. Tess was restored, sleeping and dreaming in peace and harmony. Shallie then went to each of her friends and with each kiss they were restored to perfect health and harmony with the world. Shallie went to her parents and kissed each one. When they woke, they would miss Chalance, but not with sadness. They now knew and felt what was true and that brought them peace and gladness.

Shallie was whole and complete. She was ready now and looked up and saw Princess Misty Dawn. Yes it was dawn and now she was ready as she rose and twinkled out of sight. Hand in hand, they rose, Misty Dawn and Shallie together both pure in the light.

Soon it would be Tess and then Ian, Erin and finally Angel. All, one by one would rise, each in their own turn to join Shallie and Princess Misty Dawn. They to would help keep the balance of true life and reality. To once again have humankind truly understand that all life is the reality and all others are but toys.
