The Male Debutantes' Pageant

by Annabel Naismith

Chapter Thirteen

It was Friday lunchtime. Mandy, Amy and Danni were spending the day with Kirsty. They had the day off school because of a teacher training day at their school and the following week was the half term holiday.

Kirsty made drinks and sandwiches, which were eaten enthusiastically after the exertions of the morning. She found a large carton of ice-cream in the freezer. Mandy volunteered to tidy the kitchen while Kirsty and Amy took Danni to colour her hair to try and make it passable as a girl's without having to wear a wig.

"It won't make me look too girly, will it?" whined Danni.

"Of course not," replied Kirsty. "And if you really hate it, you can wash it out. It takes about 10 washes to come out. We're just going to put some highlights in like Mandy and Sally."

"You're going to be OK, Danni," reassured Kirsty. "These colours wash out. Their colours are permanent."

The hair colour came in small tubes and had to be squeezed onto the hair in streaks. To Danni's alarm, the colours seemed very bright and totally different from this natural dark brown colour. One tube was mahogany and the other was golden blonde.

"Are you sure those colours will be OK? Mandy and Sally have colours that are only a little bit different from their usual colour."

"They'll be fine," said Kirsty.

"That's right," agreed Amy. "In my magazines, lots of girls have styles that use colour like this. And besides your hair colour is so dark, the colour won't be anything like as intense when it's on your hair."

"Just sit back and enjoy it Danni."

The girls squeezed lines of colour into Danni's hair. Then they put on gloves and applied a lotion to fix the colour.

"OK Danni," said Kirsty when they had finished. "Just sit there for ten minutes until the colour fixes and then we need to wash your hair."

Mandy entered, having finished tidying up the kitchen.

"Wow, that's different. I like that. That's really cool."

"How different?" Danni was concerned.

"Well, it will be noticed. But it looks good. And it could be girly or a boy's style."

"And you won't have to wear a wig to look like a girl anymore," reminded Kirsty.

Danni waited impatiently until it was time to go and wash her hair. Kirsty dried it and combed it into a spiky style, then sprayed it to fix the style.

Then and only then was Danni allowed to see the result.

"Bloody hell."

"So you don't like it then?" Kirsty sounded disappointed.

"I didn't say I didn't like it. It's not what I expected."

"What did you expect?"

"I didn't expect to look like a demented parrot."

"Well thanks very much."

"It doesn't look like a demented parrot," said Amy diplomatically. "It looks like a trendy girl."

"I like it," said Mandy. "I think it suits you."

"What are my folks going to say?"

"Bloody hell, you look like a demented parrot, or something," suggested Kirsty abruptly.

"If you really hate it, it does wash out," said Amy, trying to calm Danni's reservations.

"And besides, it's good for your development as a girl to experiment with different looks," added Kirsty.

"OK, I'll see what the others say when they see it."

"Let's hope they don't all say bloody hell," said Mandy.

"Come on Amy. It's time these two girls gave us some pampering. I'll lend you a bikini and then we can go and get them to massage us in the garden."

"I like the sound of that."

Amy and Kirsty went to Kirsty's room to change. Danni continued to look at her hair.

"I suppose it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so spiky."

"Yeah," agreed Mandy, "you can try combing it a different way next time you wash it. It might look quite boyish if you put gel in it. That would make the colours less strong."

Kirsty and Amy returned wearing bikinis. Kirsty had bottles of lotion to help with the massage. They went into the garden and dragged two sun-loungers into a sunny spot. Danni and Mandy got a stool each and they spent the next hour gently massaging their girlfriends in the bright sunshine.

First the girls lay on their stomachs and undid their bikini tops so Mandy and Danni could massage their backs from shoulders to waist. Mandy loved the feeling of rubbing the fragrant oil into Amy's perfect skin. She could feel the hot sun burning her shoulders, but she kept massaging Amy. At length, Kirsty decided it was time to massage their legs, so Danni and Mandy massaged each leg from toe to buttock. Mandy found it really sexy massaging Amy's slender legs, especially her thighs.

After fifteen minutes or so of leg massage it was time to turn over. Amy and Kirsty carefully put their tops back on. Danni and Mandy massaged their arms first, then the girls moved the bikini straps down so they could massage the oil onto their shoulders. Mandy loved this part because he could look into Amy's gorgeous face all the while he was massaging near those lovely breasts. Amy had closed her eyes because of the intense sun, but she smiled contentedly and sometimes she half-opened her eyes and smiled at Mandy. Their stomachs were next. Mandy got aroused by massaging the Amy's pretty, flat stomach, going as near as he dare to the line of her bikini bottom. Finally they finished off doing the front of their legs and feet.

"Danni, that was wonderful. You've got a lovely touch," said Kirsty, stretching up her arm and pulling Danni towards her, then kissing her tenderly.

"You were special too, Mandy. Thank you." Amy kissed Mandy. Mandy winced as she touched her shoulder.

"What's wrong Mandy?"

"My shoulders have caught the sun."

"Show me."

Sure enough, Mandy's fair skin had gone scarlet in the sun. Except for the areas covered by the straps from her top and bra, which remained pale pink.

"Danni, let's see your shoulders," said Kirsty.

Danni had a darker complexion than Mandy. Her shoulders had gone a red brown, but she too had pale lines where the straps of her top had shielded her skin from the sun's rays.

"I'll get some cream," said Kirsty and she went into the house.

"Danni, those lines are going to be noticeable for ages. What are we going to do?"

"What do you do about that Amy?"

"You'll just have to wear different tops so the strap marks go in different places."

Kirsty returned with some sun tan cream and slapped some on Mandy. Mandy screamed as the cold hit her burnt shoulders.

"Don't be such a baby girl," scolded Kirsty.

"But it's cold and it stings."

"Let me do it, Kirsty. You do Danni."

Amy gently massaged the cream into Mandy's shoulders while Kirsty rubbed some cream on Danni's shoulders.

"Come along girls," said Kirsty. "We need to tidy up then go round to Sally's."

Kirsty and Amy got changed while Danni and Mandy touched up their make-up.

They found their bikes, but Danni had a problem.

"How am I going to carry my wig?"

"Stuff it in your bra," suggested Mandy.

Kirsty giggled hysterically. "For goodness sake make sure you get it all in. Otherwise it'll be a chest wig."

Danni tucked the wig into his bra so that the length of it stuck out over the front of his top. "Like this?"

"I suppose it's better there than under your skirt," said Mandy. "I shudder to think what that would look like."

Danni lifted the front of her skirt and tucked the wig into the front of her panties. She let her skirt fall but a couple of inches of wig were visible below the hem of the skirt.

"Danni, that looks disgusting," said Kirsty, laughing despite herself. "Give it to me. I'll put it in my bag."

Kirsty locked the house and left a note for her parents saying where she was going, then the four girls cycled up the main street through Nutstead to Sam's.

When they got to Sam's, Janet, Sam's mum, answered the door.

"Hello girls, put your bikes round the back then come in and meet Sally. I think you'll be impressed. I was."

The four girls put their bikes in the back garden and were chattering excitedly about what Sally would look like. They hurried back into the house.

Janet ushered the four into her large living room. Abigail and Alison entered looking really pleased with themselves.

"Good evening ladies," announced Abigail, "Ali and Abi Transformations would like to present, for her first public outing, the gorgeous Miss Sally Sexton. Please give her a rousing welcome."

Alison and Abigail led the applause and cheering and Sally appeared. She was surprisingly demure and elegant and wearing a beautiful yellow dress, which showed quite a lot of Sally's own cleavage. The skirt of the dress floated down below her knees. She wore strappy sandals in a matching yellow, with a two inch heel. Her hair and make-up were immaculate and even her deportment was passable.

"Good evening girls, I am delighted to welcome you to my home. I do hope you enjoy this evening." Sally was a good singer and managed to sustain a falsetto speaking voice, which, whilst not particularly girl-like, was definitely not a boy's voice either. It most closely resembled Mickey Mouse.

"Sally you're fantastic," Kirsty was the first to react. She jumped and gave Sally a typical girlfriend's kiss on the cheek. Amy followed suit and so, to Sally's consternation, did Danni and Mandy. Janet was delighted to see Sally the centre of attention for all the girls.

"Tell us all about how you got her ready," said Amy excitedly. "Sally really is passable and you must come shopping with us."

"We started with her hair," began Abigail. "That was quite easy because Tracey did it so well."

"Yeah," agreed Alison, "we just had to wash and condition it and then blow dry it."

"Then we painted her nails," added Abigail. "And her toenails."

All the girls looked at Sally's nails. They were a rose pink colour and a perfect match for her lipstick.

"Once her nail varnish dried, we tried lots of different outfits."

"That's right," added Alison, "Sally has got loads of clothes. I hope she wears them all. Some of them she'll need to lose a bit more weight before she can wear them though."

"Yeah, she's got a pencil skirt that would be tight on Amy."

"Ooh, can I try it please," said Amy.

"Certainly Amy." Sally's voice sounded like a duchess. "Would you care to come up to my boudoir?"

All the girls trooped up to Sally's room. As the only child of well-to-do parents, Sally had a large bedroom with all the latest gadgets. There was a computer, stereo, TV and DVD player. Amy was only interested in clothes, however.

Sally even had her own walk-in closet for clothes. Amy would have loved a bedroom like this.

"Sally your bedroom is every girl's dream. You're so lucky. Now where's that skirt?"

Sally rummaged along a rail of clothes until she found the skirt.

"It's got a 24 inch waist. I know I've lost six inches off my waist this week, thanks to the corset, but I can't see myself losing another six inches.

Amy had slipped her jeans off, much to Sally's embarrassment.

"Amy! What if Mandy sees?"

"Oh, it's OK Sally. We girls are always taking our clothes off in front of each other. It's how we go shopping."

Amy quickly stepped into the tight black calf-length skirt and zipped it up.

"I love pencil skirts. You feel so girly in them. You can't take big steps and you have to use sexy little steps when you walk. It's even nicer in heels. Have you got a pencil skirt your size?"

"I've got another straight skirt with a 28 inch waist. I can get it on but I can't do the zip all the way up."

"I would say try it on now, but you look so lovely in that dress. I'll have to get Mandy to try it, but it might be too big."

Amy worked all the way through Sally's wardrobe, trying on several skirts and dresses.

Meanwhile in the bedroom the conversation had moved to how Danni, Kirsty Mandy and Amy had spent their day.

"I wanted the boys to try using hair-removing cream instead of shaving their legs and bodies," began Kirsty. "So they went in the shower together. All good male-bonding after football kind of stuff."

"Kirsty, are you sure you want to go into all the details?" asked Mandy.

"Why not? You can keep a secret, can't you?"

Abigail and Alison nodded, they were desperate to get the gossip.

"Well," continued Kirsty, "both boys got stiffies while they were rubbing moisturizer on each other."

"No!" said Alison.

"It's hardly surprising," said Abigail. "They've seen more of each other as girls this week. Go on Kirsty."

"They were a bit worried they were turning gay, so they asked Amy and me what we thought. We asked them a few questions and they said they didn't fancy blokes only girls, which me and Amy knew anyway of course. Then Andy said he'd like to marry Amy instead of living with a bloke and it all got a bit steamy."

"In what way." Alison was listening avidly.

"Mandy was only wearing a towel and Amy gave him a big snog and pushed him on the bed. Then his stiffy got going again."

"Kirsty, I don't think Amy would want you telling people this," said Mandy.

"Shut up Mandy, this is getting to the good bit." Abigail did not want to miss out on high quality gossip.

Kirsty continued. "Amy kissed Mandy's stiffy and he got so excited he asked her to finish the job with her hand. With me so far?"

Alison and Abigail nodded.

"Then she licked her hand."

"No!"

"Sweet innocent Amy?"

"She said it tasted nice and gave me some to try."

"Yuk!"

"Then Danni started to sulk, so I pretended I still had it in my mouth and kissed Danni. I held his nose until he opened his mouth and didn't let him up until he swallowed. So Danni got really cross and insisted I go down on him. I said I would, if he went down on me. And Mandy went down on Amy."

"Sounds like a right orgy."

"I suppose it does. But the good bit is, Mandy was so good. Amy had four or five orgasms and at the end she was screaming 'Oh shit! No! Don't make me come again, you honey-tongued bastard'."

"I didn't know Amy knew words like that."

"And afterwards, Mandy said something really sweet and Kirsty said he really was a honey-tongued bastard," added Danni.

"I wonder," said Abigail mischievously, "if we can get the word honey into sentences until Amy twigs that we know."

"That's a great idea Abi," agreed Alison.

"I think it's mean," said Mandy. "I feel ashamed you told that story when Amy's not here to defend herself."

"Well it's no worse than the whole school knowing why I went to the doctor last Monday," countered Kirsty.

"And only the people in this room know," added Danni.

"So Mandy," said Abigail, "this means you are a fully qualified lesbian."

"That's not very nice," Mandy was getting angry. "I'm going to find Amy."

Amy and Sally were just emerging from Sally's closet. Mandy gave Amy a hug and a kiss.

"Hi Mandy. Are you OK? You seem upset."

"I'm fine. I was just missing you."

"Aww, you're so sweet." Amy kissed Mandy.

"Do you think your mum would mind making a sandwich Sally," asked Abigail. "I'm starving."

"Yeah, me too," said Alison. She knew Abigail well and could sense where the conversation was heading.

"I'm sure that can be arranged." Sally was still talking like a duchess. "I'll speak to the lady of the house. What would you like in your sandwiches?"

"Honey, please," said Abigail.

"Yeah, honey for me too, please," said Alison.

"Would anyone else like a honey sandwich?"

Kirsty and Danni were struggling not to laugh.

"Can I have peanut butter?" asked Mandy.

"Peanut butter for me too please Sally," said Amy.

"I'd like honey," said Danni. "I like a bit of honey."

"Me too," said Kirsty.

Sally went off to arrange the sandwiches.

"I like your hair Danni," said Alison. "That style really suits you."

"Yeah," added Abigail, "what colour are your highlights? Chestnut and honey blonde?"

"Mahogany and golden blonde," corrected Kirsty. "But I agree it does look a lot like honey."

"When the sandwiches get here we'll be able to check," said Danni.

"I don't think honey blonde is really the colour of honey," said Amy. "After all, strawberry blonde is nothing like the colour of strawberries."

Sally came back. "Mum's making the sandwiches," said Sam's voice.

"Voice, Sally," said Alison.

"Sorry," said Mickey Mouse.

"How do you make your voice do that?" asked Amy.

"It's just one of those things I can do. I sang a lot when I was younger and you get used to holding a note. For different notes you hold your mouth and throat differently."

Sally demonstrated by holding her neck and singing a quite high note in a tenor voice then going up an octave to a mezzo soprano voice.

"Yes my Adam's apple goes up when my voice goes up. You can feel it."

Amy put her hand gently on Sally's neck and he repeated the singing demonstration.

"Wow, that's so clever Sally. Can you do that Mandy?"

Mandy and Danni both tried. Mandy succeeded but not as well as Sally. Danni simply couldn't do it.

"It's amazing how some people can do that and others can't," said Amy.

"That's right," said Sally. "My mum's got some CDs from the seventies. Loads of blokes sang like that then. The real test is Unchained Melody, loads of people have had hits with it but it's really difficult to do. Have you heard the guy from the sixties? He was amazing, on MTV they show this video of a live performance and at the end he hits a really high note none of you girls could sing."

"I bet we can all sing higher than you, Sally," said Kirsty.

"OK, I'll get my keyboard." Sally went to get her piano keyboard from a spare bedroom. She returned a few moments later and switched it on.

"We'll start with a note you can all get." Sally played a middle C. This was quite a low note for girl's voices but high for Mandy, who hit the right note, and half an octave away from the note Danni sang.

"No, Danni you sang this note." Sally played an F sharp.

Danni sang the note she sang before.

"Now come up with the piano." Danni sang up the scale as Sally played the notes.

"OK now we're all at middle C, let's go up together."

They went up the scale. Danni was the first to drop out, just three notes higher. Mandy managed to sing along falsetto and go quite high, a full octave above middle C without a problem but he only managed a couple of notes higher. The girl's voices were starting to struggle and only Sally and Amy could sing a soprano G, which was the highest note Sally could manage. Amy managed one more note, then she gave up.

"You're really good at music Sally," said Alison appreciatively. "How did you know which note Danni sang when you played a totally different one?"

"I don't know, it just sounded right."

"Can you really play that keyboard?" asked Abigail.

Sally played Scott Joplin's Entertainer.

"That is brilliant, Sally," said Alison. "You're really talented."

"And it's a well-known fact that generally girls are better at music than boys," added Kirsty. "So that's another girly talent you've got Sally."

Janet arrived with a tray of sandwiches and two large bottles of cola.

"Don't get honey on your dress Sally," she warned.

Amy smiled. "I remember my mum saying things like that when I was a little girl."

"Yes Amy, and I'm sure I would have said the same if I had had a daughter ten years ago. Have you got everything you need?"

"Yes thank you."

"Good, now bring the plates and cups down when you've finished, Sally."

"Yes mum."

Janet left the room.

"Mmm honey, my favourite," said Alison.

"Yeah mine too," said Abigail. "I love the taste of honey on my tongue."

Mandy was embarrassed; Kirsty and Danni were trying hard not to laugh or choke.

"I didn't know you two liked honey so much," said Sally.

"I only discovered how much I loved it today," said Abigail.

"You told them! You're horrible! How could you do that? What did you tell them?" Amy was really upset with Kirsty.

"That's why I was upset when you came back with Sally," said Mandy.

"Did they tell them everything?"

"Pretty much," said Mandy.

"How did you let them?"

"I tried to stop them"

"Amy," said Kirsty, "I'm sorry but you know it would have come out sooner or later. And everyone found out about me and Danni last Sunday, when only you and Mandy knew."

"Oh, so you told them to get back at me."

"No, I didn't mean it like that. I'm sorry Amy."

"But you're still a virgin and you've had an orgasm. Not many girls can say that," pointed out Alison.

"I can't," said Kirsty. "I'm not a virgin and I haven't had an orgasm, not like you had."

"I'm quite jealous of you as well, Amy," said Abigail. "You've got a lovely caring boyfriend who wants so much to make you happy."

Mandy hugged Amy. Amy was still very upset.

"I'm sorry I couldn't stop them, Amy. I really love you. I hate it when you're upset."

"I know Mandy. It's not your fault. I'll be alright in a minute."

Sally had missed out on the original conversation and was struggling to work out what had taken place at Kirsty's. She was dying to know, but thought there would be better times to ask.

They finished their sandwiches and drinks.

Sally took the tray downstairs. When she returned, she had an announcement to make. "Mum says you can all sleep over. My dad's not back till tomorrow; he's flying back from America."

"What does your dad do?" asked Alison.

"He's a pilot."

"Wow, no wonder you have such a nice house," said Alison.

"What shall we do girls?" asked Kirsty.

"How about spin the bottle?" suggested Abigail. "It'll be much more fun with the new girls."

"How do you play?" asked Danni.

"You spin a bottle once and the person it points to has to decide on a dare," explained Abigail. "Then you spin it again and the second person has to carry out the dare. But it could point to the same person, so you have to be a bit careful."

"That's right," agreed Alison, "so if I said the dare was to go shopping in Crawley in a mini-skirt and no panties, then I'd have to be prepared to do it."

"But I went round there last week," said Mandy. "I felt my panties were on display all the time."

"They wouldn't have been if you weren't wearing any," pointed out Abigail.

"But people could see my, you know, up my skirt."

"That is why you have to be careful what you dare."

"Would you really go shopping in Crawley in a mini-skirt and no panties?" asked Danni.

"Only if I had a long coat," said Alison.

"That's cheating," said Kirsty.

"Which shows you can be devious in what you specify for your dare. You can leave yourself a way out which the others might not think of."

"I'm not sure I want to play that and I think it would be too risky for the new girls," said Amy.

"OK then," suggested Abigail, "no dares, just snogs. We each spin the bottle and we have to kiss the person the bottle points towards. That'll be better fun with the new girls."

"That's right," said Alison, "and you have to snog for ten seconds with tongues."

"And if the new girls need a bit of encouragement," added Kirsty, "you could say that the kissers have to fondle boobs or grope bums or something."

"I don't want my boobs fondled by anyone but Mandy," said Amy.

"Oh don't be such a wuss," complained Abigail, "after what you did this morning."

"How do you feel about Danni or Sally groping my boobs Mandy?"

"OK. I'm sure they'll be very gentle. I might have to snog one of them."

"But I thought you were sweet on Danni this morning," giggled Kirsty.

"What did happen this morning?" asked Sally.

"You don't know?" asked Kirsty.

"No, when you told the story, I was in the closet with Amy."

"You should have come out of the closet earlier," giggled Abigail.

Kirsty gave the full story of the morning for Sally's benefit. Sally was astounded. There were obviously benefits to dressing as a girl that she had not foreseen. This could definitely be promising, especially now Abigail and Alison were being so nice.

"OK we spin the bottle," said Abigail with relish. "Get a bottle, Sally."

"I'm not sure I've got a bottle."

"Oh for goodness sake, how can we play spin the bottle with no bottle," complained Abigail.

"We could use a dice," suggested Mandy. "There are seven of us, so if we throw the dice we count round everyone and snog that person."

"That'll work," said Abigail. "Well done Mandy. Have you got any dice Sally?"

"Yeah, we've got some board games next door." She went to the spare bedroom and came back a few seconds later. "Here you are."

"Who goes first?" asked Danni.

"It doesn't matter," said Alison.

"I will," said Abigail. "First round is just a 10 second snog with tongues and hands on the shoulders or head of the person you're kissing. Is everyone OK with that?"

Alison and Kirsty nodded enthusiastically. Amy, Danni, Mandy and Sally nodded less certainly.

Abigail threw first and counted round to Kirsty. They stood up and kissed sensually while the others counted 10 seconds on Sally's watch.

"There you go," said Abigail. "It's that easy. And you kiss nicely Kirsty."

"Thanks Abi, so do you."

Next to go was Alison. She threw a one. Sally was sitting next to her.

"Come on Sally. Let's make it a good one."

Alison kissed Sally for ten seconds.

"Sally, have you kissed anyone before?" she asked.

Sally blushed crimson. "Only my granny and aunties".

"Not like that I hope." Kirsty giggled hysterically.

Sally ignored her. "How could you tell?"

"You were so nervous. You're a nice kisser, nice and gentle." Alison paused and smiled. "But you'll always remember me. A girl always remembers her first kiss. Shall we try again?"

Alison kissed Sally for another ten seconds and Sally relaxed and enjoyed the feeling of Alison's tongue probing her mouth. For a few seconds, she forgot that five other people were watching closely.

"Thank you Ali, that was lovely."

"You're getting better already Sally. That was very nice."

It was Sally's turn to throw the dice. Five. She counted round and came to Mandy. The moment they had both been dreading.

Mandy and Sally stood apprehensively in the middle of the room.

"After three, with tongues," commanded Abigail. "One, two, three."

Mandy and Sally kissed, with no great enthusiasm, for the required ten seconds.

"How was it girls?" asked Alison.

"OK," said Mandy.

"I think they should do it again until they enjoy it," said Abigail.

"Don't be cruel Abi," said Amy. "They're so brave. Real boys never kiss each other, especially with tongues."

"OK. Kirsty's go."

Kirsty threw the dice.

"Four, that's Mandy again. Come on sexy. Let me taste that honey tongue of yours."

Mandy held Kirsty's head gently in her hands and kissed her sensually.

"Mandy, you are a gorgeous kisser. Amy you hold onto her. She's every girl's dream."

"You were nice too Kirsty," said Mandy.

Mandy sat back down next to Amy. "I'd still prefer to kiss you," she said and kissed Amy.

It was Danni's turn next. She threw a six, which meant she had to kiss Kirsty.

"Boo. Fix," called Abigail playfully.

Kirsty and Danni kissed for ten seconds.

Next to throw was Amy.

"Three. Sorry Mandy, I've got to kiss Ali."

Amy and Alison kissed sensually. Mandy found it really sexy to watch her girlfriend kiss another girl. Was it right to feel like that? Was she jealous of Alison? Would she like to kiss both of them at the same time?

"That's the first time you ever kissed a girl, isn't it Amy?" asked Kirsty, remembering a conversation from the morning.

"Yes, it is actually." confessed Amy.

"And how did you like it?" asked Kirsty.

"It was nice. Ali is a good kisser. But I'd rather have my cuddly honey bear."

"Yay, well done Amy," said Alison.

"You're brave Amy, after the way the others were nasty to you," said Mandy quietly to Amy.

"They were right, I am lucky and I was making a fuss. It's your go now Mandy. Throw a six, so I can kiss you again."

"Five. Close, but that's Danni."

Mandy kissed Danni. Danni was the second real boy that Mandy had kissed. She relaxed and kissed her sensually.

"Shit, Mandy, you didn't have to kiss me that well," complained Danni.

"The princesses are off again," giggled Kirsty.

"Don't you like being kissed by Mandy?" asked Alison.

"I bet you liked watching me give Kirsty a sexy kiss," added Abigail

"Yeah, but you're really girls."

"This is just part of the experience of being a girl," said Kirsty. "Relax and enjoy it. You're doing really well and you keep proving to me that you're not gay." She gave Danni a reassuring hug and kiss.

Janet knocked on the door.

"Come in mum," called Sally.

"I can give you all a lift so you can get some things for tonight and tomorrow. I've got enough mattresses for three of you, plus Sally. Can three of you get hold of sleeping bags or something?"

"We've got some," said Mandy. "And some mattresses for camping. I'd better just call mum and make sure it's OK to borrow them."

"We've got some as well, Mandy," said Amy.

"Right, if you four ride your bikes home, I can take the Abi and Ali to get their things. Then I'll be able to collect Kirsty and Danni and drop them back here and then pick you and the mattresses up afterwards. You might need to check your make-up before you go; your lipstick is a bit smudged."

All the girls touched up their lipstick, with the exception of Sally, who had hers attended to by Alison.

Danni and Kirsty sped off on their bikes to their homes. It was mainly downhill so it only took few minutes. Danni arrived at her house and opened the front door.

"Hi mum," she called.

"Hello Danni. What the bloody hell happened to your head?"

"Oh yeah, Kirsty and Amy had a go at styling it. I thought at first it looked like a demented parrot, but everyone else seems to think it's trendy."

"It's trendy, is it? It's a new look for you, I'll give you that. What do you want for tea?"

"I'm going to sleep over at Sam's, if that's OK. His mum's going to pick me up in a minute."

"That's fine Danni, you have fun. What time are you back tomorrow?"

"Dunno. I think we might go shopping or something, so it might be in the evening. I'll give you a ring. I'll be with Kirsty, so you can call her mobile."

Danni stuffed a change of clothes, a nightdress and her toothbrush into a bag and was ready to go.

"Bye mum."

"Bye Danni. What about a hug for your mum before you go?"

Danni dutifully hugged his diminutive mother.

"You'll never make a girl Danni."

"Why not?"

"No girl gets ready for a night out at a friend's house in under a minute like you do. It couldn't happen."

"What does a girl do that takes more than a minute?"

"Deciding what to wear."

"How can that take long? If it's clean, it'll do. If nothing's clean, what's the cleanest. It doesn't take long."

"You're teasing me."

"I know."

A large estate car pulled up outside the door.

"That's Sam's mum. Bye mum."

Danni dashed out of the door and off up the path.

There was only Janet in the car.

"Jump in Danni. I dropped Abigail and Alison off. They said you'd be ready first. I can't imagine any girl could cycle half a mile and get ready for a night away from home in five minutes. You are quite incredible."

"Thanks. I had to have a chat with my mum. I didn't keep you waiting did I? I'd have been quicker if mum wasn't there."

"Goodness, she slowed you down? I thought she must have helped you along."

Janet carefully manoeuvred the big car through the narrow lanes and soon came to Kirsty's home.

Kirsty took rather longer to get organized than Danni but she was soon ready. She loaded her bag into the car and Janet drove back to collect Alison and Abigail. Janet dropped the four girls off then went to collect Mandy and Amy.

Sally welcomed the four girls back to her home.

"What did your mum say about your hair Danni?" asked Kirsty.

"I think her exact words were 'what the bloody hell have you done to your hair'."

"She said bloody hell? Well at least she didn't say it looked like a demented parrot."

"Who said it looked like a demented parrot?" asked Abigail.

"Danni did when she first saw it. After all the trouble Amy and me took to do it."

"It was a shock. I'm not used to my hair changing suddenly like that. I've always had the same style."

"Oh how boring," said Alison. "No wonder you have to become a girl to learn about style."

"What other games do you play at sleepovers Abi?" asked Sally.

"Ah, you want to do some more kissing, do you Sally? Well we only just started the kissing game. There are several more rounds that we can do. You kiss for longer and you touch each other differently. You can even go topless and kiss naked boobs but I don't think Amy would want us to. It's a shame Mandy and Danni haven't got nice boobs like you."

"We could kiss boobs," said Kirsty. "Danni likes it when I kiss her nipples."

"Francesca told us about a sleepover party she went to, where one girl went down on another," added Alison.

"I don't think we should go that far, though," said Abigail.

"I would flatly refuse to go down on Mandy or Sally," said Danni.

"Yeah, I think they must have been lesbians," said Alison.

"Have you kissed another girl's boobs before?" asked Sally.

"No I haven't. What about you Ali?"

"No. Kirsty?"

"No and I can't say I want to. You don't really want to, do you Abi?"

"Not really. I just thought it might a good time to do it while there was a chance of getting someone who was really a boy."

"You can kiss my boobs if you want to," said Sally.

"Ooh Sally, you're getting a bit forward," said Alison, with a smile.

"OK then." Abigail put her arm round Sally's shoulder and kissed the cleavage exposed by the low neck of her dress. Sally loved the smell of Abigail's hair. She held her arms out, wondering whether she should embrace Abigail.

"Go on Sally, it's OK to hug someone if they're kissing your boobs," said Alison.

Sally gently put her hands on Abigail's shoulders.

"Oh for goodness sake, hug me properly Sally." Abigail stood up gave Sally a bear hug and kissed her on the lips. Her tongue sought out Sally's mouth. Sally was taken by surprise but relaxed, as she had with Alison, and held Abigail's neck gently and allowed her tongue to explore Abigail's mouth.

Abigail let go. "Sally, you kiss really nicely. Ali has really shown you well."

Sally was completely confused. The previous Sunday, Alison and Abigail had fought Sam to try and force him to become Sally against his will and now, suddenly, this evening both girls seemed to want to kiss Sally.

Janet drove the car into the drive and the girls all rushed out to help unload the mattresses and sleeping bags. Mandy had found two double inflatable mattresses and three sleeping bags.

They got all the mattresses arranged in Sally's room.

"Shall we play truth or dare?" suggested Abigail.

"I don't know if it will work because we've got two couples," said Alison. "It only works if no-one has a partner. I mean, what would Mandy or Amy say if the question was what was your most romantic kiss?"

"Is that all you do in truth or dare?" asked Mandy.

"No," replied Alison. "You can dare a girl to phone up a boy she fancies and ask him for a date."

"Or we could dare Danni to sing a song," said Abigail.

"But Sally could do that easily," said Mandy.

"Which would be a good dare for her make someone else do."

"Why don't we watch a nice slushy girly film?" suggested Amy.

"Yeah," agreed Kirsty.

"There is one game we can do," said Abigail thoughtfully, "which will be hilarious with the new girls and that's no mirror make up."

"How does that work?"

"We each do our make-up, but without a mirror."

"That's impossible," said Amy.

"But the results should be fantastic," said Kirsty. "And we'll be able to see how well the new girls are doing with make-up."

"Do you have a camera Sally?"

"Yeah, it's digital. I have to copy it to my computer and then we can print the pictures."

"Wow, you've got everything Sally." Alison was impressed.

"And we can send them by e-mail?" asked Abigail.

"Yeah, they are sometimes quite large files, so you can only send one or two at a time."

"OK, this is the game," said Abigail, "We all take off all our make-up and then we have 5 minutes to put our make-up on with no mirror. The winner is the girl with the most scary make-up and the prize is that her picture gets sent to all our friends."

"Are you OK with this Sally?" asked Alison. "You've never done your own make-up before, even with a mirror."

"Yeah, I'm game. If I can do it without a mirror, it'll be easy when I do have a mirror. Why don't we make the winner go and talk to my mum?"

"Poor Janet, you'd better warn her," said Kirsty.

"Why not let Janet be the judge?"

"Won't she be biased for Sally?"

"Let's ask her."

Sally went to let Janet know that her judging skills were going to be called upon.

The girls removed all their make-up.

"I'm really worried about this Mandy," said Amy. "I've never tried make-up with no mirror before. I bet I get it all smudged and horrible."

"It'll be the same for all of us and it's meant to be funny. What if Sally or Danni or me has to send our photos to all the girls we know."

"Oh yes. I never thought of that. It'll be much worse for Sally. No-one knows she's dressing as a girl yet."

They assembled back in Sally's room.

"The rules," announced Abigail. "We each have five minutes to put on foundation, blusher, eye-shadow, eye-liner, mascara and lippy. We'll throw the dice to see who goes first, but I think it's only fair to let Sally go last, so she can see how we experts slap it on. Anyone got any questions?"

Sally spent the next half hour with a mixture of emotions as each girl tried, with varying success, to apply the make-up. By the time it was her turn, she had worked out in what order to apply the different items and that she needed to find lipstick that matched the colour of her nails. She applied the foundation and brushed on blusher, before applying eye-shadow to both her top and bottom lids. Then the eye-liner pencil. Abigail had pressed quite hard earlier when she made Sally up earlier that afternoon. Sally followed the line of her lashes top and bottom and lastly found the lipstick that seemed to be closest to her nail colour and put some of that on, pursing her lips as she had been instructed earlier.

All the girls had their photographs taken. All had badly matching eyes and, with the surprising exception of Danni, too much lipstick. Sally looked terrible and she was quite upset.

"I know I'm the worst. You don't need to ask mum."

"Never mind Sally, we all had fun," said Amy.

"And you have never put make-up on yourself before, so it wasn't really fair," agreed Alison.

"How about we think of a dare for Sally, instead of sending the pictures?" suggested Mandy.

"I think we should let Janet choose; she is the judge, after all," said Abigail.

"I think the loser should have to send her picture round or sing a song and accompany herself on the keyboard," said Mandy.

"Yeah, that's fair," agreed Abigail.

"And Janet might not think that Sally is the winner," pointed out Alison.

"You don't want me to sing, or try and play the keyboard," said Danni.

"You won't lose," said Kirsty. "You look quite good and it only took you a couple of minutes. I don't know how you do it."

The girls went down to the living room to be judged.

"Well I must say, you don't look as bad as you might have. Danni looks the most presentable. I have to say, and you must already know yourselves, that the worst make-up job is Sally. Sorry dear but there it is. You haven't got some horrid forfeit now, have you?"

"Yes," said Abigail, "but she has a choice. Either we send her picture to all the girls at school, or she must sing a song and play the piano."

"I think we all know what she'll choose. Can I come and listen, or you can set the keyboard up in here."

"I'll go and get it. If I do two songs, will you do my make-up nicely? I hate looking like a clown."

"I will," said Alison. "But only if you do them well."

"OK."

Sally went upstairs and returned a few moments later with the keyboard.

"What do you want me to play?"

"What do you know?"

"Mainly old stuff."

"Play Bridge over Troubled Water, Sally. I know it's old, but I love the way you do that."

"OK"

As soon as Sally played the introduction, all the girls were transfixed. Then she started singing, she had to hit the high notes at the end falsetto, but it was perfect. The girls burst into spontaneous applause.

"Fantastic, Sally."

"Brilliant."

"You've been my best friend for five years and I never knew you could do that," said Mandy.

"How do you remember all the notes and words?" asked Alison.

"The notes have patterns and they repeat quite a lot. The words, you just practice. Shall I do the Boxer? Join in with the chorus. Every one knows the words, it's lie-la-lie."

"Go on Sally."

"Yes please Sally. That's my other favourite of yours."

Another flawless performance followed, apart from Danni's efforts in the chorus, which in turn was followed by more applause.

"You should be in a band, Sally," said Alison.

"And we can be your dancing girls," said Kirsty.

Sally played the opening bars of the Stripper.

"I'm not that sort of girl," said Kirsty.

"And I'm definitely not that sort of girl," said Danni.

"We could practice a dance for next week's youth club though," suggested Amy. "It will be something we can do together on half term and it'll be nice girly activity for the new girls."

"What will we wear?" asked Mandy.

"You're such a girl, Mandy," said Kirsty, "always worried about what you're going to wear."

"Leotards and little flared skirts," suggested Amy. "Or the three biggest could be boys and the three smallest, that's Danni, Mandy and me, could be girls."

"Would our willies be alright in leotards?" wondered Danni.

"And you're such a bloke, Danni, always worried about your willy."

"I think your skirts should be long enough for the boys' things not to be obvious," said Janet diplomatically.

"Shall we go back upstairs and watch a nice girly film?" suggested Abigail.

"There are lots to choose from in the cabinet," said Janet. "I watch films quite a lot when Sally's dad is away."

The girls chose the film and went upstairs. Mandy inflated the mattresses and the others arranged the bedding. Sally's room was so big that there was room for her double bed, two double mattresses and the single mattress. They all took their make-up off, to Sally's relief, and changed into their nightdresses.

Eventually they settled down and enjoyed the film, then more of Abigail's games and finally they all slept.

Tomorrow would be a hard day of shopping.
