Marks School Experiance

by Susan Janet Barker

Chapter 6

Susan's third day at school was a bit of a let down in the morning as she had science and maths and not much happened, but after lunch was a different matter as it was wood work and it was a lesson that she had been looking forward to since she had seen it on the school time table.

"Ok class today we are going to start to make a bow to use on the archery range, if they are good enough, remember no one is to mess around with the bows as they can be dangerous if used wrongly and if I see anyone messing around, they will be out of the class with no exceptions."

Walking over to one of the walls, Mrs Smile stopped and pointed to rows of beach wood laid out in rough logs and said, "Here are lengths of beach cut to roughly the same length, please all come and take one and then return to your benches."

Susan waited until the main rush had gone before she walked over to the bench and after looking at the different lengths trying to tell if there was anything different between them, but could not see any visible signs.

Slowly she reached out with her right hand and as her hand passed over the rows of beach she stopped as she could feel some type of field that was just like touching the wood with out actually touching it, and pulled her hand back.

Quickly glancing around to see if anyone was looking at her, and seeing that no one was she reached out again and felt the field again, but this time if was a sort of pressure instead of a field and as she grasped hold of one of the pieces of beech.

She found that her hand could pass through the pressure field with no problem, so she took her piece of wood back to her bench and watched as Mrs Smart explained the basic idea of making a bow and then told them to get started.

As Susan started chiselling her piece of beach wood into a bow shape, she was not sure what to make of the feelings or experience that she had just experienced and decided to keep it to herself and slowly carried of working on her bow almost on instinct.

Towards the end of the class, Mrs Smile told the class to mark their bows and tidy there work areas up, Susan decided to use her initials with the S and the B being linked and was soon rushing out to meet up with Katie and Sarah at the school gates.

Sarah's mum soon arrived and took the girls home after they said there goodbyes to Katie.

The next day at school for Sarah was a boring one as it consisted of science followed by English in the morning and cooking lessons in the afternoon, and she was almost releaved when Miss Smart entered the classroom and asked Sarah and Susan to follow her to her office.

Once they were in Miss Smart's office she said "please sit down both of you as I have some bad news for you."

Once they were seated Miss Smart looked at Susan and said "I am sorry to have to tell you this Susan but both your parents are dead!"

After a moment of stunned silence Susan mouthed a silent Nooo followed by "m mu mum and dad are dead, how did it happen?"

"There was an explosion on the plane in which they were returning home in" miss Smart answered.

Fighting back her emotions for the moment Susan asked "are you saying that it was intentional Miss Smart?"

"It is still too early to say for certain Susan, but it is highly possibly that someone blew the plane up."

"But why would someone want to do that Miss Smart as my parents didn't have any enemies that I know off?" Susan asked.

Taking a deep breath as she glanced down to her own desk, she had known that this moment was coming but she was not sure how Susan was going to take it.

She knew that the responsibility to tell Susan and Sarah about the planetary shift might have fallen to her and she desperately wished that Janet was still alive as she could get things across to people with ease.

It was one of her strongest gifts that Janet had, and it was most likely her natural telepathy that made it a lot easier to tell people things that needed saying with ease, oh well Julie you know that it is not going to get any easier and they both deserve to know what is happening.

"Sarah I don't know how much you know of what I am about to say and I am sorry for you if you do not know as much as you will need to know soon, but you will both understand as soon as I finish telling you what is going on."

With a puzzled look on her face Susan asked "What do you mean when you finish telling us what is going on?"

"Susan I know that you have a lot of questions and it is hard for you at the moment, believe me I do feel and understand your pain, but I need to ask you some questions before I tell you what I know."

Looking up into Miss Smart' eyes through her own tear filled eyes, Susan saw that Miss Smart was telling the truth, "what do you need to know? She asked.

"Thank you Susan, have you noticed anything new happening to yourself or your surroundings in this past week?"

Seeing Susan hesitate over something for a few seconds Mrs Smart said "It's ok Susan say what's on your mind no matter what it is and I will then try and explain it to you, although I do not have all the answerers.

Not sure where to begging Susan decided to start at the beginning, "I am not sure on any of this so please bare with me as I try my best to explain it."

"My emotions this week have been a mess and I didn't understand what I was doing that ending up with me learning what it was like to live and behave as a girl, and I just cannot decide yet weather I enjoy acting and looking as a girl but it has been enlightening to say the least."

"But to answerer your question Julie, I had a bad headache the other day and I could have sworn that I felt what I would describe as a field of some kind in the beach wood we are using to make our bows in woodwork class, but I just don't know."

"Susan, how do you know my first name?" Miss Smart asked.

"I don't know Miss Smart it just came to me and it felt right, although I don't know were I got the name from."

Using her own telepathy Miss Smart asked can you hear me Susan? Getting no reply she decided that she couldn't hear her thoughts and then decided to see if she could get into Susan's mind.

She tried for a few minuets but found much to her surprise that not only could she not get into his mind as she had done to a few other males, she could not detect his mind. Thinking to herself she said I know he is standing there and I can see were his mind should be but I just can not sense anything there, I will have to think about this later as I think I can detect Janet's work there.

"Ok Susan I will tell you what I know, so please bare with me while I tell you the story of the planetary shift."
